Special Features: Durasteel provides basic protection in combat, armorweave lining is a last resort defense against lightsaber attacks but only provides minimum protection. HUD provides all manner of information to the wearer. Examples of data that can be accessed via the HUD mask are maps, tactical displays, comm systems, archived data, etc. Additionally the helmet provides better sight in low-lighting conditions, filters oxygen, and allows Kian to access data via the HUD that is restricted to Jedi Shadows. Unlike his typical anti-ox mask, this mask is more durable and unable to be pulled off with the force, helping to downplay his atmospheric disadvantage.
Description: On Empress Teta as a padawan, Kian Karr had his facemask crushed leaving his face scarred along the mouth and severely weakening him in the fight against a Sith. Since that time he has worked to ensure his abilities to defend his mask in combat, such as building his abilities in shielding techniques with the force. In order to allow him greater focus on the battlefield, Kian has requested a retrofitted version of the mask/helmet from the C-1000 armor exported from Dorin in order to protect Kel Dor soldiers. The mask would provide Kian protection as well as allowing him access to a number of technological advantages on the battlefield, such as maps, tactical displays, and archived data. The downside of wearing the mask in battle is similar to what one would expect with most forms of armor worn to protect the face and head. Peripheral vision, while still there, is more restricted than if he were not wearing the mask. Additionally, the added weight of the mask, while not severe, adds to the overall weight of Kian's armor when in battle, slowing his speed down and making him tire faster. Unlike the helmet of the original C-1000, this helmet has been lined with armorweave to provide last chance protection from lightsaber blows to the head as well as having an upgraded HUD.
