STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Keter is an improviser, and someone unrestrained by preconceptions or the ideals of others. His troubled training resulted in someone who does not view the Force as mystical, merely another tool at his disposal, albeit a dangerous one. Yet this also lends to him being wary of those who believe in the divinity of the Force, as well somewhat dismissive of those he deems too small minded. He takes his percieved role in the galaxy very seriously, acting as a mercenary, hero or villain as the mood stirkes him, or as the galaxy requires in his mind.

This unconventional approach to reality has led to him being theatrical and dramatic in the extreme, though he can play the role of silent lurker just as easily. Indeed, these two natures battle within him constantly - hiding to survive, but always yearning to act openly and command attention. Probably his most glaring weakness however is his lack of a true goal. Others can gain strength from what they are trying to achieve, whereas Keter just skips from idea to idea without any true commitment. His interest in his continued survival also has led to him readily accepting defeat that could easily be turned into a victory, whereas his interest in recreating the stories he adored as a child mean he never truly belongs with any greater order or organisation than himself, switching allegiances readily to support underdogs, or act as an enemy where there is none, all for the sake of his story.

SHIP:
Heavily modified Fury-class interceptor, rebuilt from the landing gear up over salvaged remains. In addition to standard armaments, the ship has a group of magnetic grapnels mainly used as tow cables and for docking manouvers. The interior has been modified to accomodate crew in greater comfort and for longer voyages. It has since been granted as a wedding gift to his daughter, Felicity Mason.

BIOGRAPHY:
Keter is a confusing individual, acting whatever way he wants. Though he is far from a noble knight, his crimes are less heinous and more pragmatic. He enjoys talking, flying and fighting, though he is not really good at any of those activities. Yet despite setbacks, Keter remains optimistic at the worst of times, and pessimistic at the best of times. Exactly how the death of his family affected him is unknown, since no one really knows how he acted before that day.

Born to a poor family on Hutta, Keter was a happy child. Though it was difficult to be happy growing up in a place like Hutta, Keter managed it. He enjoyed reading and writing, enjoying old literary classics and comedies, often quoting them at great length to amuse the other children in his neighborhood. He always came across as mature to any adults he ran across, and impossibly immature to any other children he crossed paths with.

He never showed any outward signs of force sensitivity, yet his potential was sensed by a Sith passing through the area on some dark errand or another. With a potential recruit suddenly presented to them, the Sith moved quickly. Two days later bounty hunters stormed Keter's home and killed his parents, horribly scarring the boy and tearing out his eyes. The Sith arrived as a concerned witness and spirited the boy away, and cared for him, nurturing his desire for revenge. Utilizing his contacts on Hutta the Sith managed to grant the boy a set of cybernetic eyes, giving him far superior vision to anything he ever had before.

Having regained his strength under the care of the Sith, Keter began learning from him, about the harsh life the galaxy promised him, the truth regarding darkness and light. In the ten years they shared Keter learned how to sense the force on a rudimentary level, how to wield a sword and then training saber (his tutor was wary of giving him access to a proper lightsaber until he developed his force power further), how to pilot a starship, how to hunt certain individuals – all skills he would need in hunting down the bounty hunters who had taken his family from him, and eventually their employer.

On the eve of his twentieth birthday, the Sith granted Keter an old Fury class interceptor, from when the Sith Empire had been ascendant in the galaxy. With it he would be able to go out and hunt down those who had killed his family. Keter eagerly accepted the gift and set out into the galaxy to find those who had ruined his life. The Sith remained on Hutta, at least as far as Keter was aware. Yet on the starship Keter located an old lightsaber, one he claimed as his own, and he began to slowly train with it, honing what little force powers he had.

Now he seeks out others who can help him become stronger, faster, better. All in the name of his revenge. However, no matter what hardships he encounters, no matter how much he suffers, that cheerful and well-read boy is still part of Keter's identity, one that is beginning to resurface the further he gets away from the Sith who had taken him in. Though he finally managed to forge contact with greater force of the Sith, he was never truly accepted into their ranks. The mentor assigned to him never paid him any attention, leaving the young man to learn what he could on his own.

Slowly and steadily, Keter contnued to refine his powers. What he lacked in strength he made up for with adaptibility and dexterity. When his skills were turly put to the test during his Knighting Trial, he barely managed to pass the various tasks set to him, but always with enough style and ingenuity to avoid execution. But once free of the yoke of the teachers, Keter took to wandering the galaxy, seeking out stories and various knowledge to better perfect himself, in preparation for his triumphant return to Hutta.

He would not return for vengeance. He would return for liberation.

And though the road is long and hard, he has had his moments. Managing to obtain an entire Clone Army from Kamino using stolen Sith funds. Hunting down droid factories on Geonosis whilst part of the Jedi. All for nought in the end, as attrition took it's toll. But Keter soldiered on, since loss was but another trial in his tale, one he would overcome in time. With his resources gone, Keter has been left richer than he ever felt in a long time - in his fortress of Dis, built on the windy planet of Immeria in the far Outer Rim, he settled down with a family of his own - Feena, her children, his daughters Felicity and Celeste, and the last three members of his retinue.

But his story continued. Now a house-husband, Keter did his best to raise his daughters as his wife became more and more important on the political stage - becoming the Queen of Naboo, her home world, and focusing on it to the point of neglecting her family. Keter bore this in silence, deeply worried for his wife as she worked longer and longer hours, giving more and more of herself to a planet that just didn't matter in the long run. Eventually, after many years, Feena fell ill, and died. As she passed from the realm of the living, she took with her a chunk of Keter. His joy, his love, his goal. He was left bereft of purpose, of care. His daughters had grown up into fine young women and set off on their own journeys. His friends had all moved on or faded away over the years.

Left with nothing, Keter simply never left his wife's side after the funeral, becoming a permanent fixture at the cementary outside Theed.
