He had his famous coat on him and shoulder pads with the insignia of his teacher, with a cybernetic left hand. Under his coat, he would have modified mandalorian armor, of which he claimed from one of his jobs. His steps from his military grade boots was booming and instantly scared any people who would dare cross him. With all of this heavy gear, many people wonder how he can stay silent enough to not even be noticed.
Biography
Before the lawless killer:
I. Birth
Born on the planet Concord Dawn, Kerx Zyron never knew his parents. He was put in a comfortable basket ,swaddled, and placed on the doorstep of a retired bounty hunter, Dane Zyron, with a note attached that read "To whom it may concern, We cannot take care of this child. If you can, please give him a wonderful life" Dane never took care of a baby before, but he was not going to let up the opportunity of a normal life after bounty hunting. So, Dane took him in and raised him. The old man promised to make this boy something greater than himself, and he would do anything to make it that way. He decided to name the boy, Kerx, which was the alias of Dane's Father who was killed during a break in of the family home.
II. Early Years
When Kerx Zyron reach about 7 years old, Dane put him in schooling, so that the little kid can become a scholar, engineer, or something better when he grew up. During schooling, Kerx's teachers discovered he had learning disabilities that have him a disadvantage versus the majority of students in the classroom, resulting in flunking. So Kerx's adopted father took him out of school and tried many more methods of education, but nothing worked. Plus, Kerx was developing anger issues as well because of his confidence and not being able to fit in. After months and months trying different educational choices for Kerx, there was only one solution Dane could think of. He did not like the thought of it, but it was the only thing left. Bounty Hunting. Nothing else came into mind and that was what Dane knew about most. After confirming the decision of training Kerx as a bounty hunter, Dane decided to train him in a remote abandoned warehouse in the industrial district.
III. First Time Holding a Blaster
Kerx and Dane would go to the warehouse virtually everyday for hours to learn what it was like being a mercenary, and what they did, how they did it, what weapons they used, contacts, bounties, etc. Kerx absolutely loved it because he could actually retain something for once and get his anger out when it came to melee drills. When Dane would ask him questions that related to lessons previously taught, Kerx would repeat them in perfect answers, even expanding the subjects and asking questions. After years of lessons about being a bounty hunter, melee combat, agility, strength, technology, and everything else, Dane introduced Kerx to the ranged combat aspect of it, when the kid was 11. This was because Dane wanted to trust that the young boy can be responsible of dangerous stuff, and now was the time to learn it all. Blasters. Kerx knew blasters well, as he and his father lived in the poor parts of town, where Dane would keep his trusty Pistol under his bed, in case a robber tried breaking into their house, or someone wanted to go on a murder spree. Kerx was no stranger to it. He was afraid all of his life because of where he lived. But now that he is being taught about protecting himself with an intimidating and useful weapon, other than his fists, Kerx felt safer in his home with his father. When the lesson started, Dane brought an extra pistol, one that he bought from an arms dealer across town. It was a D-18 Blaster. Dane would teach Kerx to shoot for weeks, and Kerx was a good shot after only training with the pistol for about 2 months. When Kerx finally turned 17, Dane knew. He was ready for his first bounty.
IV. His First Bounty
When Kerx turned 17, Dane gave Kerx the D-18 pistol to keep, and a black cloak that Dane's father gave him when he was young. His father also told him they would be going to a cantina for something special. Kerx knew his father would never let the boy drink, so it could only mean one thing. The bounty board. Kerx knew so well about that thing that he knew it better than the back of his hand. It was a holographic board displayed inside the local cantina that showed all the prices of a criminals' head. When Kerx would go around town, on the way home he would always stop at the front window of the cantina, gazing at the board with the mercenaries surrounding it, wishing that one day he will be one of them looking at all the prices for the villainous scum in the galaxy. When the young adult and his father arrived at the bar, wearing cloaks (Dane's having an insignia on the left breast), and their blaster pistols tucked in the pockets, they went up to the bounty board, ignoring what was happening inside of the bar. Both Kerx and Dane agreed upon taking down a local criminal, named Helwin, who was caught stealing from the local mafia downtown his information labeled his to be terminated on sight, and prove it to the bartender, who to Dane was a good friend and member of the mafia. After finishing signing up on the hunt for Helwin, Kerx and his father exited the bar and headed for the last known location of the criminal, an abandoned alley near mafia territory. After searching the place for a good 30 minutes, Kerx found an intact comm that must have been dropped by Helwin. Dane took a look and turned it on. Both heard two voices speaking on a private channel. One of them with a panicked sounding tone saying they need a ride to Nar Shaddaa, and another naming prices. Kerx and Dane both knew the panicked voice belonged to Helwin. After listening in more for about 5 minutes, the transport person was asking where Helwin was, and the criminal replied with the exact coordinates of the local cantina! Kerx looked at his father and they both knew. They ran as fast as they could to the cantina. When they were about 50 feet away or so, they slow down their pace as to not seem suspicious and walked to the entrance. The two men walked in and looked around. How could they find him? The place was crowded with people and aliens alike drinking and gambling. But Kerx noticed a lone rodian sitting in a booth sweating, and fidgeting. Dane told Kerx to wait at a booth and to watch and learn, with Kerx giving a chuckle. Kerx sat down exactly two booths down, gazing over to his father every once in a while. Dane sat in the booth and Helwin asked if Dane was the guy. Dane revealed his pistol and replied saying, "No, if anything you can call me your killer." BLAM! There was a sudden noise of a blaster being fired, and everyone in the bar fell silent. Dane got up, went to the bartender, came back to the booth where Kerx was sitting open-mouthed with the old man holding a bag of credits, and exclaiming to everybody, "What? Have you folks never seen a bounty hunter do his job before?" After about 5 minutes of hanging out in the cantina, Dane decided that he and his son should go home. When they came upon their dwelling, Dane opened the door and he and his son went in and sat at the dining table. Dane tore open the bag of credits and saw the currency spill out onto the table, amounting to 15,000 in value. It was Kerx's first bounty and it was an utter success. Dane put back all of the hard earned money and gave it to Kerx as another birthday present. "Keep it kid, you earned it" And they both went to bed for the night. During the night, Dane now wanted to come out of retirement and become a bounty hunter again with Kerx. But that would mean, him.......
The Transition to the Whispering Death:
When the World Went Silent and Still
5 years have passed, and after many more local bounties and training, Kerx was a very good bounty hunter thanks to Dane. When the years passed, the two were very wealthy, as they bought their own freighter, The Justifier, and new equipment. This meant they could do interplanetary bounties all over the galaxy! They also obtained a team name for themselves by other hunters, called The Reaper and The Collector. Both Kerx and his father had never miss a bounty ever, and they weren't going to let that happen. Now, they were at Tatooine, turning in a bounty, a spice smuggler by the name of Qerash. It was only a dead or alive job so it wasn't too troubling, just another day of being a bounty hunter. The only part that Kerx hated was the heat, he couldn't stand it. But Dane looked just fine. When they entered the cantina to put in the details of the bounty and collected their credits, a count of 3 Mandalorians entered with one of them with their helmet off. The hunters' backs to the Madalorians, but Dane knew that voice from anywhere. He couldn't believe it.... it was him. After all those years, he found him. "Which one of you is the Reaper?" The Mandalorian yelled with superiority. Dane whispered to Kerx to stand still, and that Dane was going to pull his pistol on the Mandos. Kerx obliged and Dane un-holstered his pistol and shot the two Mandos that accompanied the leader. Everyone ran out of the bar and the bartender dropped a metal door on the counter, completely sealing himself him. The Leader didn't do anything. All he did was laugh when Dane pointed his pistol at him. "Hahahaha, always one with a bang, huh brother?" Kerx couldn't believe it, his father had a brother? How did he not know? He stood there in shock and his dad spoke. "After what you've done to our family, you are nothing but dead to me. I am surprised you even had the guts to show up after what I did to you so many years ago." Dane's brother went red. "Enough! After those years, I have become far more stronger than you and today, I want to settle our dispute once and for all, right here, right now!" Dane's brother saw Kerx, and he grinned. "Have you gotten soft brother? Taking a child underneath your wing and teaching him to be a piece of trash?" "Being a bounty hunter is not a waste of time, it is an art, something you do not know of!" Dane Spat, still holding his pistol and aiming it at his brother's chest. "If you want to settle this, don't bring my son in this! if you want to fight, fight like a real man!" Dane put his pistol on the floor, and put up his fists. His brother did the same. They stared at each other for what seemed like forever for Kerx. The boy's gun was now revealed and pointed at Dane's brother. "Kerx! Put it away, this is something you need to stay out of. You know what I always say?" Dane Asked. His eyes were intently on his brother. "Watch and learn..." Kerx's father charged at his brother, jumping in the air and kicking him in the face. The Mandolorian got up and blocked several more attacks from Dane. After a short opening, Dane's brother upper cutted Dane and it launched him into the air. Dane landed on his back but the look on his face was determined. His brother was on top of him, his knee on his neck. Kerx couldn't take it anymore. He threw his blaster and tackled his uncle (sort of). The two were on the ground and his father got up, coughing. Dane was about to separate Kerx from his brother, but that didn't happen. Instead, his brother head locked Kerx with one hand, and an extra pistol he kept in his belt pointed at Dane. "This is the end brother. You better not do anything you would regret." "Thrax, just let him go and you can take me. Just please, don't hurt him." Dane said while grabbing at his jaw and kneeling, with the other hand outstretched to Kerx. Thrax went up to Dane, got him up to his feet, and put one arm around him, and the other holding the pistol. Kerx was standing there, holding his throat. He was right next to his blaster. Thrax whispered into Dane's ear, "How about I take your life instead?" BANG! Kerx grabbed his pistol, and shot Thrax in the back before he could even turn around to shoot the boy. When Thrax dropped to the floor, Kerx could see his father on the ground trying to breathe. Kerx dropped his pistol and ran up to him, crying. "Dad, dad!" Kerx was laying his father on top of his legs, with one hand on his side where the wound was, and the other brushing his hair. Dane managed to get one of his hands up and touched his son's face. "Kerx, my son. I love you...." His eyes went still and his breathing stopped. Dane, The Reaper, was dead. Kerx could not hold it any longer, he was crying more than ever. So many feeling were going through his head. But then he heard something. Shuffling. It was Thrax. He survived his death and was now crawling to where his pistol was. Full of hatred, Kerx stopped crying. he got up, and kicked Thrax on the side with all of his strength. Thrax squealed, holding his side with his back on the ground. Kerx walked to his pistol and grasped it with his right hand, and clenching his left. He went up and shot Thrax in the chest. Saying no word, and showing no remorse.
From that day forth, Kerx Zyron was now known as The Whispering Death throughout the galaxy....
