APPEARANCE:
At 6 foot 2, Keo is a imposing physical specimen due to her half Valkyri descent. Taller than any in her tribe, and the tallest woman among all the tribes of Karn by some degree. Keo's white hair and whie eyes are a direct throwback to her Echani ancestor that brought the name of Quane to their family. Her face is a near complete copy of the Quane that first arrived on Zarn and married into the Islan tribe some 800 years before.
BIOGRAPHY:
Around 800 years ago, a Quane crash landed on Zarn, and was brought into the Islan tribe, marrying the local Palental. From there came generations of increasingly less Echani looking descendants. The Echani Quane was initially looked upon as an outsider, and not to be trusted, but by the time of their death they had made a name for themselves as a mighty hunter and defender of their tribe. It was always noted of this Quane, known as Voola Quane, that he had carried with him a quiet sadness. It was believed that this was the mourning for that which he had lost, though no explanation of what he had lost was ever given.
Generations past, and the Echani blood line passed down, each child being born with the genetic memory of the face of the female ancestors of their line. Not all descendants achieved greatness, but they all continued the line of Palental of the tribe Islan. The name of Quane was passed down as only a familial name, an understanding between just the family as to their true name. Time came for the child Ressa to be born to the Palental known as Vag, or Mikana Quane. Given the tribal name of Keo, Ressa grew in the ways of her tribe, but also in the ways of the Palental and also the family way of the Echani.
Ressa's father had been another outsider, arriving on their tribal lands in a state of destitution. He was taller than any man they had ever seen, broader, stronger and fair of hair. It was never understood that this was a man of Midvinter, a Valkyri, who had crash landed on Rychel's moon just as the Echani Quane had so many centuries ago.
Ressa, or from here known as Keo, grew up as a freak and outcast of her people. She was taller than any of the many in her tribe, broader of shouler and even at times stronger and faster, thanks to her Valkyri heritage. She also bore a near perfect resemblence to her mother, and unbeknownst to them all to the distant line of female Echani that had come before her including the Jedi, Arren Kae.
As an outcast, Keo had to learn how to survive on her on, but also went out of her way to help the tribe, though her assistance was rarely greeted with gratitude, but suspision.
With the aging of her mother, and it being so long since the mysterious disappearance of her father, Keo has stepped into the role of Palental for the tribe. Tension is high as the people have not come to trust her, and she herself still feels unprepared to take the mantel of village healer, Force connected matriarch and second-in-command of her people.
