Kenobi Padawan Tournament: Round 2 - Sanya Val Lerium versus Haytham Kaze

Description of the room: The room is a large, round training room. In the center of that room is a small pool of shallow water. Along the outer perimeter of the room there is a second level, though structural damage has occurred, causing several pieces to have fallen and leaving holes in the platforms. There are also large platforms and statues. Unknown to the participants is the fact that there are several panels in the floor and wall that allow the room to be shifted at the control of the judge. ​

ROUND 2: [member="Sanya Val Lerium"] versus [member="Haytham Kaze"], judged by [member="Corvus Raaf"]

"Greetings contestants." Kian said walking to the center of the room and glancing at Sanya and Haytham. "This is the second round of the Kenobi Padawan Tournament and I hope you have learned a great deal about lightsaber combat in your first round."

"Let's have a creative, enjoyable fight!" Kian said clapping his hands together. "Shake hands and lets begin!"

Sanya walked towards the center of the room standing at the edge of the water. she looked around the room to look at the obsticals taking in a mental note where everything is, before looking at her opponent. she bowed to heytham and unclipped both sabers from her belt. "so may the best Jedi win." she flicked her hair out of the way and them smiled.

she prepared her self in the Niman stance Igniting only the main hand. closing her eyes she blocked out all noise except her heart beat and the sounds of her opponent each breath he took each shuffle of his foot. she opened her eyes again keeping the sounds blocked out, this was mainly to help her determine when the floor was going to move, although there has to be a pattern to when and direction it will move.

After his first duel with Slice Spiralflame, Haytham had taken into account that people probably wouldn't give up even when there was no chance for them to win. Rubbing the small of his back where he had the faint memory of a bruise from his first duel. Haytham had already promised himself that this time around he would be less reckless in his moves, but then again, who knew what the duel was going to bring right?

Walking towards the centre of the room, Haytham's arms swayed at his sides as he walked. He walked with a careless gait, as if he didn't care whether he was going to win or lose, his stature seemed extremely laid back, and just based from his aura he exuded that carelessness. When [member="Sanya Val Lerium"] bowed to him, Haytham folded his body forwards in his own bow, and then he rose upwards, pulling his lightsabre off of his belt and pointing it off to the left side of his body.

With a single raised eyebrow, Haytham responded with, "you mean duelist," and then the azure beam from the training lightsabre extended outwards to his side.

Immediately he had taken note of his opponent's dual lightsabres, but he wasn't going to let that affect him mentally. He came prepared with a second lightsabre up his sleeve... literally, he wasn't going to reveal that right away. His right hand wasn't visible, but instead was concealed by the long sleeve of his robes, and kept the hilt out of sight with two fingers.

Something that he had been practicing a lot recently.

Turning his head to the side to locate the judge, [member="Corvus Raaf"], Haytham inclined his head so slightly, and what seemed like in the same moment, was already moving forwards, long legs taking quick steps to close the distance between them and slashing across Sanya's chest.

Sanya brought up her saber to meet with his attack her eyes locked with his before pushing his saber away. "bold move." Sanya giggled at him, leading with the main hand she brought her saber from across her chest in a diagonal slash from his right leg to the left shoulder. she took one step closer him placing her arm across his chest and her foot behind his pushing him off balance. with her left arm she placed it under his right shoulder to prevent injury.

she soon moved away from him walking to the center of the water, igniting the second saber. "round two?" she spun around to look at haythem once more. Sanya started to spin her main hand saber before letting it rotate in her palm to face backwards.

When [member="Sanya Val Lerium"] had blocked his lightsabre and pushed it away, Haytham himself was already anticipating what his opponent's response would be, and was already throwing his right leg backwards, twisting his body out of the way of the weapon, so instead of slashing all the way across his lower to upper body, she missed -- completely.

His lightsabre had already resumed it's defensive position, and so when she stepped closer and reached to him just as his twisting stopped, his beam slapped her hand away from him immediately. Not hot enough or lethal enough to sever, but definitely damaging enough to remember not to touch the hot part. Bruises and minor burns were probably likely.

So instead of actually falling down, Haytham employed the Force to his own lower body and flipped backwards away from her, landing several meters away.

Sanya flinched her arm back mildly grazing it on Haythem saber, she rotated on the balls of her feet to maintain her own balance as he jumped back. Igniting her other saber she got back into the Niman stance.

placing one foother in front of the other Sanya was charging at heythem but not directly at him, using the small ledge on the pool of water she used it to change her position jumping from his right side to the left. with about a meter left between them She raised her off hand making a strike for his left leg then immediately twisting her torso to get moment behind the strike to haythem neck with her main. with her momentum still in play she spun around dropping to the floor to sweep his legs hoping to dive him back again. As she stood back up into the niman stance she took the more defensive side in preparation for a flurry of strikes.

It was time to move. His second lightsabre now had an actual purpose in this duel, and it wasn't sitting in his sleeve throughout the entire fight.

When [member="Sanya Val Lerium"] came at him, and slashed at his left leg, the lightsabre in his left hand dropped down immediately and held her lightsabre below his kneecap, but not close enough to harm him. He wasn't applying anymore pressure onto her off-hand to push her off balance just yet, nor was he letting her gain any ground upon him either.

From the beginning of the fight, Haytham had been waiting for Sanya to use her secondary blade. That's why he twisted in the same direction as Sanya, to give them both awkward position when she slashed at his neck. So instead of her getting the full potential damage she could've gotten on him, (and probably putting him out of the fight) Haytham got out with a faint burning sensation across his neck.

His only response to the contact was a grunt. He promised to not let that contact go unpunished in this duel.

Watching as she dropped downwards, Haytham let the Force take him for a moment, and he leapt into the air just above her, stabbing downwards with his left hand towards her thigh.

Once he landed, he log-rolled out of her range as quick as he could, and rolled back onto the balls of his feet with a practiced grace.

He had already determined that this duel was going to take longer than he had previously imagined.
