GENERAL INFORMATION
Kenji Verd moves through the Outer Rim like a rumor, quiet, deliberate, and gone before most realize he was ever there. Once a farmhand on Shuiqui, once a government curiosity, once a reluctant student of power he never asked for, he is now something far more refined: a blade for hire guided by the Force rather than ruled by it. The lightning that once tore uncontrolled from his hands has been tempered into focus, channeled through the disciplined forms of Kong Zhi. He does not boast, does not posture. He listens. He watches. And when violence becomes unavoidable, he ends it with swift, economical precision.
Though credits fund his travel, Kenji’s contracts are rarely chosen for profit alone. He drifts from system to system, taking work that places him between the helpless and the cruel, escort jobs in lawless sectors, duels against tyrants who hide behind enforcers, quiet extractions where subtlety matters more than spectacle. The Force flows through him now like a controlled current rather than a raging storm, sharpening his senses, guiding his footwork, steadying his blade. He is not a Jedi, nor a Sith, nor any banner-bearing warrior. He is simply Kenji Verd, wandering swordsman, Force-touched, carrying the memory of a farm, a mother, and a master in every measured step across the stars.

HISTORY
Kenji was born a son of
Isley Verd
and a woman from the planet, Shuiqui. Kenji and his mother lived a relatively quiet life. He and his mother spent many of his younger years tilling the fields and learning how to work with his hands. He was a well-versed mechanic, aiding his mother in fixing the different equipment that they had around their small farm.
When he became a teenager, he felt the well of the force awaken inside him. Having been able to use the force throughout his childhood, he had never felt it as strong as he did at that moment. The force flowed through him like a raging river, one that he didn't know how to stop. He felt the crackling bolts fly off from his hands as he stood there in shock. Livestock lay dead, burnt to a crisp by his display of the force.
His mother tried to keep his ability in the force a secret, but to no avail; he was soon found by the government of Shuiqui and was taken from his mother. For the next few years, he traveled from place to place, the government attempting to teach him and learn from him, but he was blank, almost as if he had died inside.
Kenji had always been reserved, much like his mother, and was never the charismatic man that his father was rumored to have been. These years were hard on Kenji, but all would change when he met an old swordsman. This man took one look at the young boy and took him under his wing.
Soon, Kenji was learning the ways of a swordsman. This old man was a Master of the Kong Zhi martial style. He taught the young Verd in the ways of the blade, but only the sword; he taught him how to be a man. This had been something lacking from Kenji's younger life.
The next few years were spent learning and mastering the art of Kong Zhi, his use in the force being molded to aid in his abilities with the sword. But his tranquil life was not to be forever; his master was forced to send him away, both he and Kenji sharing one last goodbye before Kenji made his way to the galaxy, to use his wisdom to protect those in need.
