DESCRIPTION

Unlike a standard lightsaber, Kato crafted his personal blade with a curved shape hilt, which helps control the weapon when in a duel. In addition, he added a songsteel knuckle guard, a modification in line with his form II focus on preventing an opponent from disarming him. Beyond functionality, Kato added many aesthetic features including decorative engravings and a black shark-skin leather wrap on the grip. The emitter is ovular rather than circular and the amethyst-colored blade ends in a point like a traditional sword. This is purely cosmetic, since the entire blade has dangerous cutting and penetration power exactly like a traditional lightsaber.
