Description: The main battle tank of the Crinan Royal Army, the Kath Hound Battle Tank is a heavy assault tank meant for both frontline activity and recon operations. Swift and agile the tank relies mostly on thicker armor plating to make up for a distinct lack of any shield unit, which does make it a tad slower than some of its modern counterparts. At the same time the Kath Hound class battle tank is undergunned by some standards as well, only having one main cannon though it does sport a heavy laser cannon.

It makes up for its lack of anti-personal blaster cannons by once more relying on its armor to ward off the threat of small arms fire and hoping its main gun is enough to cripple enemy armored units before they can return the favor. Still, the threat of missile attacks from demolition teams, artillery, and strafing fighters exists and hangs over the Kath Hound. Thus it sports a chaff launcher on either side of the main cannon to deploy a protective screen against a few missile attacks before being depleted and leaving the Kath Hound at risk.

The last major design point of the Kath Hound is its ability to carry a few soldiers around the battlefield as well to deploy them. Up to six other soldiers outside the crew can travel within the tank safe behind its armor plating for a time before being released out the rear hatch. Compared to many Imperial designs the Kath Hound is rather lacking, but its been the favored armored unit of Crina's Armed Forces throughout the last forty years of civil war.
