DESCRIPTION
The Wrist Bowcaster is a powerful weapon designed from the ancient Wookiee Weapons and made for Mandalorian use to commemorate the fallen Mandalorians, now having been joined to the Manda, for their honorable service in the Raid carried out by the Clans. Originally conceptualized by [member="Alec Rekali"] the idea was given to the smiths and craftsmen of Gotal'veman for creation.

The Bowcaster is simple, using magnetic poles at the end of either arm to propel ammunition forward. Each weapon is designed with four replaceable firing mechanisms that can be swapped out in about twenty minutes in a workshop, one for each type of ammunition the weapon is able to receive. No matter what, it holds Six bolts worth of ammunition, and it may be fired One, Three, or Six at a time causing a light spread of ammunition.

First, like most bowcasters it can fire a metal quarrel at a hefty velocity. The 100 gram quarrel is magnetically propelled similar to a Verpine Shattergun or bowcaster, excellent for dealing with armored opponents. Of course different types of quarrels can be loaded into the bowcaster, such as Dragon's Fire or explosive quarrels.

Second, by sheathing the bolt in a containment field and using a conduction heating element on the quarrel, the weapon can emulate a Mandalorian ripper, firing a bolt of red hot metal at the enemy which melts many personal armors and flesh as the matter strikes the enemy. It is more a slugthrower than blaster as the metal quarrel is still a heavy object, versus the nearly weightless blaster bolts.

Third, the quarrel may be charged with microwaves and radiation, wrapped in a containment field to be fired like a charric, causing thermal and kinetic force to strike their opponents, with the containment field scattering in an stunning electrical outburst when it makes contact with metallic surfaces just like a normal charric.

Finally, and most interestingly, the firing mechanism can be swapped for one similar to an Paddle Beamer, magnetically accelerating a bolt of white ion energy known for being a paralytic, rather than lethal weapon, and known for passing through standard personal shielding and armor, and not being deflected by lightsabers, but rather the elongated bolt, slightly bent instead.

In the end, for the Raid Leaders, a powerful, useful weapon was crafted symbolizing their victory and success over the Republic in the Kashyyyk system, and Alec wrote Draco a thank you letter for taking her idea and running with it.

Strengths:
  • Bowcaster: Wookiee Bowcasters are known to be very powerful. Based on the Dur-24 Wrist Laser, the wrist bowcaster is as powerful as a full sized blaster rifle, however it pales in comparison to a full sized Bowcaster.
  • Multiple Fire Mode: It can fire One at a time, Three at a time, or all Six at once.
  • Variable Ammunition: The Bowcaster is very interesting in that it can be fitted with magnetically accelerated quarrels emulating a shattergun, fire Ripper Bolts, Charric blasts, or even Ion Beamer bolts with a few tweaks and replacements, taking about twenty minutes in a workshop to swap out.
Weaknesses:
  • Range and Ammunition: The Bowcaster suffers reduced range over its large brethren as well as reduced ammunition capacity.
  • Size: The Bowcaster is heavy for a wrist weapon, and thus is unable to be combined with other wrist weaponry as Mandalorians normally wear several on each arm.
Special Features:
  • Variable Ammunition

There is so much going on in here. To be honestly I'm not that comfortable that a wrist weapon bowcaster has four different functionalities. Not to mention the recoil.

Bowcasters were much more powerful than standard blaster rifles, meaning few humans were capable of carrying one around, let alone hold it level and steady for a precise shot.[9] To fire comfortably, the strength of a Wookiee was required.[7] However, this statistic was challenged by Han Solo on numerous occasions during theFirst Order–Resistance conflict, in which he became fond of the weapon after using it in a skirmish on board the Eravana and later in a battle on Takodana.
Only until more recently, were the bowcasters required the strength of a wookiee to let alone provide a steady or precise shot. That was challenged by TFA. But that is still holding it with two hands.

I need something more in regards to weaknesses or powering down for a wrist weapon if you are seeking a bowcaster for the wrist.

with a few simple tweaks easy enough to modify between battles.

I would be more comfortable if this is clarified that it is not easily modified out in the field without more time allotted for it

That's where I pulled the reasoning from. Considering they were able to scale down a Blaster Carbine to wrist sized, with half range (100 optimum to 50 optimum)

E-11 could alternate between semiautomatic, fully automatic and pulse-fire settings, and was designed to use a variety of ammunition, including grenades, darts, and flares.
Also from the E-11 Wookiee.

As for the First Two fire modes, those are both canon
After cocking the weapon, a simple trigger sped the quarrel forward and charged it in an envelope of plasma.
How do these changes look?
  • Bowcaster: Wookiee Bowcasters are known to be very powerful. Based on the Dur-24 Wrist Laser, the wrist bowcaster is as powerful as a full sized blaster rifle, however it pales in comparison to a full sized Bowcaster.

Alright, I will add some clarification. Its not supposed to be changed on the field.
