STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :
+Your Average Jedi: While this may not seem like a strength, it truly is. A lot of different skills and powers are associated with Jedi. Most individuals do not not understand that many, if not most, Jedi have glaring strengths and weaknesses inherent when using the Force. Kal'n has no glaring strengths or weaknesses. While not blessed with easy mastery of anything, with hard work and dedication he is capable of learning any Force Technique.
+Physical Specimen: Kal'n is human and when unaided by the Force he possesses all the limits a normal human has. That said, Kal'n finds easier than even other Jedi to maintain top physical condition. This it likely genetic, however as Kal'n never knew his parents he will never know for sure.
+Emotional Control: If there is one thing Kal'n is good at it is remaining calm and serene during difficult times. He believes a Jedi should be the epicenter of peace and harmony, he does his best to lead by example at all times, knowing that there is somebody always watching.
+Quick Learner: Kal'n is rather quick at catching on and learning non-force related skills. This is likely due to his willingness and the open-mindedness with which he approaches every task and subject.
+/- Jedi Code: Kal'n is a firm believer and stalwart follower of the Jedi Code. He uses it to guide his every action. It defines him.
-Eager to Prove: Kal'n feels that he has so much potential that isn't being used or recognized. He feels that if he only had the opportunities afforded to other Jedi and Padawans that he would be able to prove his worth and not fee like a burden.
-Knowledge is Power: If Kal'n had a glaring weakness as a Jedi it would be his hunger for learning. He will go through great personal lengths to learn something new.
APPEARANCE:
When looking upon Kal'n you would see a young man at six feet of height, brown hair parted to the side, a well maintained beard and someone that takes excellent physical care of himself. Kal'n is strong and has corded, whip like muscles that are not overly defined, this is no doubt because of the many years of endurance training. His simple clothing befits a Jedi and is always neutral brown, tan or a mixture of the two colors. They are generally free of stains and sewn so that he maintains what he feels is an acceptable appearance.

Kal'n possesses no real pronounced features, others have gone as far as to explain him as rather plain and homely looking. He has no piercings or tattoos and only one scar, which is hidden under his clothing; it runs from his left knee to his ankle and is a gift from a speeder that struck him while on a mission as he was falling from a great height.

Youngling
Kal'n Drasco was born on Coruscant and like all children he was tested to see if he had the capabilities of becoming a Jedi. Unlike most children he was found to possess a strong connection to the Force and was soon after taken to the Jedi Temple where he would would be taken care of until the age of three, when he was placed into Clan Ronto. From here on out he, like other Younglings, would spend all day everyday with his clan; eating, sleeping and learning with one another.
Morning rituals consisted of Force studies, leading into the midday political science classes and the study of the histories of a thousand worlds and cultures. Mornings would end with a mid-day meal and then Kal'n would go with his Clan and and spend the afternoon completing whatever rigorous training regiment the Masters had concocted for them.
Between classes and any free time that they had the clan would be required to have five mandatory meditation sessions, after which they would be taught and expanded upon the Jedi Code and the Three Pillars – the Force, Knowledge, and Self-Discipline. To say that each and everyday was physically and mentally exhausting would be an understatement.
Perhaps the most important lessons were that each Youngling learned to depend on their clan mates for assistance and to aid one another in studying and practicing with one another. Before Kal'n and his other clan mates could begin training in the lightsaber they all had to prove themselves in their other classes. It was only after proving themselves that they had courses in the six of the seven levels of lightsaber combat. It was after these classes that Kal'n and the others were ready to take their Initiate Trials.
Kal'n was given his Initiate Trials: demonstration knowledge of the Jedi Code, observation of meditation and dueling technique, and fluidity in Force wielding. Kal'n did not wow any of the Masters with his abilities, but he was strong and stable and passed all of the tests.
Padawan
Kal'n was selected by Jedi Knight Ryuku Obsidian to become his Padawan. Ryuku sensed the Kal'n's strong bond with the Force and saw how well balanced the boy was. The two left the Coruscant soon after so that Master Ryuku could teach Kal'n what he thought to be best. Not only would he aid the boy in understanding and digging deeper into the Living Force, he would teach the boy other skills that would be useful in simple day to day life.
The early years as a Padawan were not at all what Kal'n thought they would be. There were no daring missions or lightsaber battles, though he did not crave these things. They were simply the idle fantasies of a young boy that stayed up late at night deciding what their training would be like when they were selected as Padawans.
Master Ryu demanded far more from Kal'n than the instructors at the Temple and his training methods were what many might consider harsh but fair. Under Master Ryu's tutelage Kal'n delved deeper into all of the core abilities that a Jedi was expected to know, though he was not taught anything further, and would not be until he Master Ryu felt he had a strong understanding and grasp of the basics.
The same was said for lightsaber combat, while an initiate was taught some on six of the seven forms of combat Kal'n would not be taught any other forms until he showed exceptional skill with Shii'Cho.
THE FORCE:
-Control-
"Control is internal. It is the Jedi's ability to recognize the Force in himself and to use it to his benefit." - Jedi Master Bodo Baas
Like all Jedi, Kal'n's first lessons on the Force were on control. Mastering the Force within oneself was one of the first steps that a Padawan hopeful Youngling had to accomplish. A firm understanding of it was needed to pass the Initiate trials. Like nearly all Jedi Kal'n has excellent control of the Force in himself, of the three different areas of training that the Jedi learn Kal'n has more skill with this than with Alter but not than Sense.
-Sense-
"…Sense involves the next step, in which the Jedi recognizes the Force in the universe outside herself." - Jedi Master Bodo Baas
After showing an understanding and ability to exercise their Control over the Force Jedi are taught to recognize the Force outside of themselves. In this area Kal'n does slightly better than he does with Control or Alter. To reach out with the senses and listen and feel the Force as it pertains to the world around you. This can be a wonderful and yet overpowering experience. Luckily, Jedi spend years strengthening their mind and their connection to the Force so that they can understand what they Sense.
-Alter-
"Alter is the third and most difficult area to master, for it involves the student's ability to modify the Force and redistribute its energies." - Jedi Master Bodo Baas
Only after a Jedi shows a measure of control over the other two areas of the Force that Jedi teach do they learn how to alter and change the world around them with the Force. This can be a tricky slope for some as the Jedi learns to change the world to their liking in some cases, the power can turn some to the dark side. Of the three areas Kal'n is weakest in this, It is because that this is the last core principal that Jedi learn and has simply not had the time to develop his skill and understanding in the Force enough.
-The Dark Side-
"Anger, fear, aggression; the dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight. If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did Obi-Wan's apprentice." - Grand Master Yoda
Like all Jedi, Kal'n is very aware of the threat that the Dark Side of the force represents. He understands the allure of power and is very mindful of his thoughts and actions when it comes to using the Force to accomplish a goal. He is vigiliant in making sure that his use is in strict adherance to what he has learned, in particular, to the Jedi Code.
As of now Kal'n has no skill in any specific Dark Side power or ability. He has not even entertained the thought of learning such a thing.
LIGHTSABER FORMS:
Students are taught Forms I through Form VI as they study lightsaber combat. Though as a Youngling emphasis is placed on Form I, and the others are only given token worth of notice in comparison. A Jedi does have knowledge of the other Forms even they choose to focus on one or two different lightsaber forms.
Form I: Shii-Cho

Since this is the basis in which all other forms are based from it is no surprise that Kal'n has a very intimate knowledge of this form. He is capable of using it in combat with the skill one would expect of his rank in the Jedi Order. As a personal belief Kal'n believes that too truly master any of the other forms one must first master Form I.
Form II: Makashi

The dueling style. Known for its effectiveness against other lightsaber wielding individuals. Kal'n has been using Makashi almost exclusively for the past several years. As such, his skill with it has increased dramatically. He is able to use it efficiently in combat and has constructed his lightsaber to take advantage of this styles speed and precision.
Form III: Soresu

It takes care of the issue that Form II has, which is its weakness against blaster wielding foes. Kal'n finds that this form can level the playing field against more aggressive and superior enemies. It's focus on defense leaves it's offense essentially non-existent, but Kal'n believes that it gives the Jedi what he truly needs in most conversations. Which is time, time to develop a new plan. As it stands his early devotion to Soresu makes him as skilled in it as he is in Shii-Cho
Form IV: Ataru

The high acrobatic flying, spinning and jumping form. Kal'n enjoys the freedom that this form gives. It is, in Kal'n's understanding, the polar opposite to Soresu. It focuses on attacking and using the Force to overwhelm the enemy. It is this flashiness that made Ataru the Form of choice at first, but over the years he found that despite he skill and headway he was making that it simply was not accomplishing what he hoped to. His knowledge and skill is beyond that of what a Youngling would know and possess but no where near a Knights technique.
Form V: Shien/Djem So

Beyond what little is taught to Younglings and what he has seen against those he's sparred with Kal'n has not spent anytime learning or practicing the techniques of Form V. It is something he'd like to learn, but as of now he prefers to spend his time studying Form I thru Form IV.
Form VI: Niman /Jar'Kai

This is a Form that Kal'n loves for its philosophy and was originally the Form he wanted to learn. However, his first Master had no real skill with Niman and so through circumstance he has not had the opportunity to come back to Form VI and dig deeper into its teachings. Though it is certainly something he will come back to.
Form VII: Juyo/Vaapad (-)

Kal'n knows of its existence, but has no knowledge of its forms or purpose, only that he is not allowed to study it.
LIGHTSABER:
"The Heart of the lightsaber, the crystal is" - Grand Master Yoda

*By Shadow_MS
Kal'n crafted his lightsaber out of the spare parts he scavenged out of several destroyed ships. There is nothing out of the ordinary or special about the weapon. It is well crafted and maintained, as one might expect.
NON-FORCE SKILLS:
Hand to Hand:
All Jedi are taught some form of hand to hand techniques. Partially because some techniques are sprinkled in with lightsaber attacks and because against some foes a lightsaber does not need to be drawn. Kal'n has no extra training beyond what the temple teaches. Though he is adequate in its application.
Piloting
Kal'n is making some real progress in this skill. He is a member of Red Squadron and as such, regularly practices and trains to become a better pilot. His quick reflexes and skil with the Force tends to give him an edge over other pilots that lack the same skills.
Alien Species Knowledge
Because Kal'n was unable to acquire a master to complete his training early on he has spent much of his time pursuing his interest in non-humans and their different cultures. He is by no means an expert, but he knows tid-bits of information and customs.
Survival
This is one of a few skills that Kal'n is comfortable in. Not because he has a lot of hands on experience (though he has some), but because he has done a lot of research and feels that he has learned a lot. Though, this has yet to be tested to the limit and Kal'n's confidence could be his downfall.
Slicing
Yea... splicing. Kal'n's idea of slicing is cutting something in half with his lightsaber. He would't know the first thing about cracking codes or anything else of the sort.
Diplomacy
Kal'n's first master emphasized the importance of this skill. Explaining that a lightsaber should only be drawn once all other options were exhausted. Diplomacy always being the first choice. While he is clearly no politician, his ability to sense others feelings through the Force does give Kal'n an edge in some negotiations.
Subterfuge
Lying, breaking an entry, stealing or simply remaining hidden through mundane means. Having started his training as a Silver Shadow Kal'n has begun delving more deeply into this skill set. He is more talented then those untrained, but still has a long way to go.
