STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Is a Clawdite and can therefore shape shift
+ Trained as a gymnast and dancer, so she is very fit
+ She's sneaky and can pass through almost anywhere without being noticed
+ She's an excellent actress (or a liar, depending on how you look at it)
+ Smarter than many, but by no means a genius. She's a fast learner.
+ She's a fairly good shot with most blasters
- She's terrified of uncontrolled bodies of water (oceans, lakes, rivers... pools and baths are fine however) and as a result can't swim
- Has Body Dysmorphic Disorder. When she isn't shapeshifting and taking on the appearance of a human girl, she hates her body. It causes her mind to be filled with anxiety from how self conscious she is, and it clouds her ability to focus and her judgement.
- She has an addiction to spice. She smuggles it for a living and can ignore the temptation most of the time, but she occasionally gets the nearly-irresistable desire to take a dose of it.

APPEARANCE:
When she isn't shapeshifted (which is rarely), Kali is a green-skinned Clawdite of average height with an athletic build. Her eyes are black and her hair is straight and brown. She has rough, reptilian skin, and very sunken in cheeks. Most of the time, however, she shape shifts into the form of a white female human with wavy dirty-blonde hair and blue eyes. Her body type remains the same.

BIOGRAPHY:
Viu Heyza'ar was born to Yema and Ordol Heyza'ar, wealthy Clawdite patricians who lived in the upper levels of Coruscant. From a young age, she always got what she wanted. Her family went on lavish vacations to the most beautiful spots in the galaxy. They visited a tropical planet with many gorgeous beaches once, and Viu almost drowned. To this day she is still terrified of most bodies of water. She started dancing and doing gymnastics at age three, and was a natural. She'd spin, twirl, and do flips all over the house, climb on beams, and dance until she collapsed. Viu was truly a happy child, and although she was spoiled she had a good heart. When she was 8 she requested that her parents let her start acting. They arranged for her to receive an agent, and she was earnest to start her career. Unfortunately, every audition she went to she got turned down on the spot and she couldn't comprehend why. It wasn't until she was 14 when she fully understood-it was her appearance that stopped her from reaching her goals. She was livid-she had never been denied what she wanted in the past. Luckily (or maybe not so luckily...) puberty quickly kicked in, and her abilities as a Clawdite to shape shift were beginning to unlock.

Most honest Clawdites, like Viu's parents, were fine with their appearance and never bothered changing their form. Viu's parents were reluctant to help her learn how to shape shift, as the behavior was associated with cheaters, liars, thieves, and criminals amongst the galaxy, but they had never said "no" to their daughter, so they followed through. At first, the transformations were incredibly uncomfortable for her. She'd practice and practice changing her skin tone, texture, hair length, eye color, and even height and weight until she was in pain and made herself sick. Once she turned 18, Viu had "built" her ideal body and was in the habit of staying in that form all day, even if it meant ending the day close to passing out from exhaustion. On the bright side, her acting career took off and at the very young age she was already somewhat of a celebrity on Coruscant, and her name was known by a few people all around the galaxy. Her "human" name was Kali Ruzara, and she had started working as a party promoter, and had a few minor roles in big movies.

Once Viu (who was known almost exclusively as Kali outside of her family at this point) had become 21, she had fans all over the galaxy. She was a talented actress, a great dancer, and was able to carry a tune pretty well. She had nearly mastered her shapeshifting, and could hold her "human" form all day and even sleep that way occasionally. She even had her name legally changed to Kali Ruzara. Kali was happy, but there was a negative feeling tugging at the back of her mind. She gave the feeling some deep thinking, and Kali determined she was feeling guilt for being "fake". She decided to embark on a journey of self-love and learn to appreciate her Clawdite body, no matter what other people thought about it. Sure, it was hideous, but what really matters is what's on the inside, and her fans would of course appreciate that! Her journey began, and she started thinking positively and surrounded herself with nice messages. After months and months of this, she mustered up the courage to "come out", so to say, as a Clawdite. She went to a celebrity affair and revealed her Clawdite features. Instantaneously, all the self-confidence that Kali had built from the ground up was ripped to shreds by the laughter, shouting, and general rompery and foolishness of the people around her. She was berated for weeks following the affair for being artificial and a liar. She was dropped by many of her agencies, and she was forced to return home on Coruscant and live with her parents.

Her parents, loving and as eager to make her happy as ever, took her back with no questions asked. Kali felt numb for a while, then she was mad, then she was manic and became even more obsessed with her appearance than she had ever been in the past, staying in her human form for days on end until she passed out from exhaustion. Her parents, disturbed by their daughters craze, gave her an ultimatum--get professional help, or get kicked out. She claimed the only real help she could get was cosmetic surgery, so her parents rashly sent her away after a heated argument. Unable to find work as a model, actress, or dancer on the upper levels of Coruscant, Kali took the remainder of her money from her days as a celebrity and rented an apartment in the middle levels of the city, and started performing as a dancer in the scummy lower layers. It got the bills paid, but she wasn't even remotely happy. All her life she had enjoyed entertaining, but what she was practically being forced to do in the cramped, smelly clubs of the hellhole of a city zone she worked in wasn't entertainment. It was torture. To numb the pain, she turned to doing spice.

For about a year she was hooked on spice until a very sobering evening. She was hanging out with junkies and dealers after a night of dancing when the warehouse they were nodding off in was stormed by the authorities, and she was arrested. She was addicted to the drug, and she had formed a bad habit of taking it regularly. The habit was broken, and so was Kali's spirit. A long eight months later, Kali was released (partially thanks to her parents' money). Her parents gave her the same ultimatum as before--stay in the house and get help, or leave and get cut off. Kali had no choice but to get help if she wanted her family's financial support, but she craved independence from her mother and father... and she craved spice. She said she'd get help, but she wanted to live on her own. Her parents, being in the habit of always saying yes, agreed and were ecstatic at the prospect of her finally recovering from the self hate that had ruined her.

Kali was 26 when she moved out, and she got a nice apartment in the upper-mid level of the city and began networking immediately. She made some good friends who were from wealthy backgrounds, and Kali truly thought she could get her life back on track. It was at a party with friends when she took a very weak dose of spice recreationally when her addiction immediately sprung back to life and she was hooked. Her friends all abandoned her and Kali found herself taking a speeder to the lower levels to get her fix almost every night. She was spending all of her extra money on drugs until one night her parents visited her. She was wasted and obviously very high and they told her that not only were they incredibly disappointed in her for lying and becoming an addict, but that they had run out of money. Kali's parents said they were all going to take a cruiser to Naboo where some wealthier relatives owned a home, but in her inebriated stupor Kali refused to leave. Her parents left her with contact information and enough money to pay her rent for a month. Kali was in deep shavit, and once again was forced to make an attempt to turn her life around.

After two weeks of desperately trying to get a gig dancing, she found out no one wanted to hire a strung out Clawdite. Kali was in such bad condition that she had stopped shapeshifting almost entirely and she hadn't even realized it. Seemingly out of nowhere, withdrawal symptoms hit her and she spent two additional weeks curled up in her apartment sick as a dog. She had hardly any money, and a less than a month to find a job and work enough to pay her rent, or she'd be out on the streets. Using more willpower than she ever thought she could ever muster up, Kali pulled herself together, finally started acting her age, applied herself, and sought out a job at any location in the middle and lower levels that was hiring. She even took the effort to shape shift, which was tiring after being out of practice. After two weeks, she ended up with nothing except crushed hopes.

Desperate for a job, Kali entered a bar she used to frequent with her spice dealing friends and met a man who she had often bought drugs from. He had just gotten out of jail and was "back in the trap" as he said, and he was looking for someone to snatch a shipment of spice that was stolen from him by another dealer. Kali immediately accepted and, using her Clawdite abilities, camouflaged herself to blend in with her surroundings and she returned all of the dealer's contraband, plus extra. She was paid generously and the dealer suggested she start a business as a freelance scout, spy, smuggler, or anything she could do with her abilities. Kali thought it was a good enough idea, and began her business centered in Coruscant. She became a very well-known smuggler and eventually joined the Smuggler's Alliance and kicked her spice habit for what she hopes is permanent. Kali is a proud member of the Wild Phantom.

Recently, Kali has been saving up to buy a few personal droids, new weapons, and eventually a starship of some type. She hasn't mustered up enough courage to approach her family after all this time, especially now that she's a low-key outlaw. Luckily, she's one of the slyest girls around and there's not a doubt in her mind that she'll be able to succeed at whatever she sets her mind to.
