Blast Ya Later: Being a suit of armor using Duramesh as apart of its construction Kalculi is highly resistant to blasters and other forms of plasma weaponry.
Turn it up: Acting as shock absorbers the Myomer muscles lessen the effects of sonic weapons providing a superior form of protection to the wearer.
Right back at ya: Through a complex setup of using piezoelectric generator, along with the Nihil crystals damage such as kinetic force and sonic impacts can activate the generator sending a signal to the Key/Seoularian crystals that releases a small shockwave in the direction the attack came from back to the attacker.
Get out my head: The fragments of bluestone implanted within the armor keep Rene’s mind safe from those wishing to pry into it, and even keeps the force from being used to shatterpoint the armor.
That all you got?: Through the use of the myomer muscles that were used in the creation of Kalculi it acts as a dampener against kinetic force and keeps physical rounds from penetrating the armor.
Brrrrr: Having no systems devoted to protecting itself from cryogenic weaponry or abilities leaves the Kalculi incredibly susceptible to it or even in freezing climates it provides very little warmth to Rene.
Where’s the zipper?: While a valuable and incredibly versatile set of armor it is infamously difficult to take off taking upwards of 5 minutes to get everything off.
Zap: While the unique abilities and systems of Kalculi are a boom there was no time in the creation of it or space to include a defense against electric weaponry such as arc throwers or even Force Lightning.
Get it off: Acid being of the most difficult forms of weaponry to defend against leaves Kalculi practically useless when faced against it and due to the thinness of the armor means it won’t take as much time for it to reach Rene’s flesh.
Kalculi, or Reckoning in Old Corellian is Rene’s personal set of armor that was created by the Corellian for the fights he was sure he’d be forced to participate in and while the man adored being fashionable he enjoyed being alive far more. As such he set to work on the armor using the technology he was able to gain access to, along with other rare materials that had faded into obscurity. One of these being a Key and Seoularian crystal, items that the Corellian had learned about through his associate Prowler and had gone to great lengths to begin incorporating into any form of equipment he could possibly find. One of the primary boons of their use in the Kalculi being that they were able to completely power the armor.
Much like other Corellian’s who often possessed genius in terms of engineering Rene put these talents to work in the creation of Kalculi. The base of the armor was in many ways just a sealed bodyglove much like Locke and Keyes, Hexarium Bodyglove. A mix of duramesh, and the synthetic muscles created a suit of armor that was highly resistant to both blaster/plasma weaponry along with kinetic weaponry the combination of them even keeping physical rounds from penetrating through blunt force trauma at times could still be sustained if the weapon delivers enough force. As such to punish those who would dare try and deal such harm to him Rene utilized a often overlooked form of technology in the Kalculi, this being a piezoelectric system with Nihil Smokestones as the focus. As such when Sonic impacts, or kinetic force impacts the armor it activates the Nihil smokestones that sends mental energy to the Key and Seoularian crystals held within that are attuned to only it and Rene. Once the signal reaches the crystals the armor will instantly release a shockwave of energy in the direction that the attack came from back at the attacker. This creates an incredibly effective defense system but the strength of the shockwave is dependent on the force that is dealt to Rene in turn. So a regular individual punching Rene may only receive a similar amount of force in return, while something like a slugthrower round would release a shockwave with enough force to fling a person off their feet or more depending on the strength of the weapon.
With the main features out of the way, the rest of Kulculi was pretty much by the book including a HUD in the armor along with ensuring it was hermetically sealed in case Rene found himself unfortunate enough to be in an area where he wouldn’t be able to breathe. Throughout the armor, Rene went about incorporating pieces of Blue Stone that in effect makes it incredibly difficult if not nigh impossible of someone mentally influencing him through the force. This feature was a last-minute addition that Rene included as a safeguard against [member="Scherezade deWinter"] and other force users. Rene liked his mind in one piece along with his privacy so having people able to pry or control him was something the Corellian wished to avoid. A secondary benefit of the crystals being that it makes it incredibly difficult for one to manipulate through the force so including it in the mesh of the bodysuit effectively keeps individuals from being able to see the shatterpoints within it and shatterpoint the armor but not enough to keep the force from affecting Rene in other ways.
