Tentative Connection to the Light
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Kael is a tall, lean man with blue eyes, short brown hair with sideburns, and no other facial hair to speak of. He is clean-kept, wearing green robes with brown gauntlets, and brown shoes. He has a fairly angular face and a strong jawline, with an almost oblong nose bone. He carries around a blue lightsaber attached to his waist.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
A young and curious man, Kael seeks knowledge from others by asking and observing. Generally soft-spoken and reserved, he is friendly and finds himself rather approachable. Still learning in the ways of the Force and the galaxy itself, he has a rather shortsighted view of good versus evil. Because of this, he can seem rather naive, and needs steering in the right direction sometimes. His heart is in the right place, and he tries to go out of his way to help others. He is very difficult to anger, but nonetheless not so difficult to misdirect.
STRENGTHS
Strong Sense of Justice - Kael's reasons for becoming a Jedi and learning the ways of the Light are rather simple - he wants to help others by any means necessary. When seeing someone suffering, he does what he can to shoulder some of the burden, even should it hurt him in the process.
Saber Skills - While by no means an experienced lightsaber duelist, Kael seems to have a knack for learning new tricks and has even gotten the hang of the Shii-Cho Form.
WEAKNESSES
Naivety - A big one, Kael's general lack of knowledge about the larger Galaxy has caused him to be easily misdirected and tricked by what he doesn't know. His sense of justice can also be laughably easy to take advantage of.
Uncertainty and lack of Force expertise - The latter is osmething that can be overcome, but the above tends to feed into his own uncertainty. While not a target for the Dark Side, his naive nature and even the memories of his father falling at the hands of the Sith plague his memories and cause him to doubt his own abilities, despite the overwhelming proof that he has a decent amount of skill at what he does. As a result, it can be hard to tap into the Force when he needs it, which is why he tries to meditate often and solidifiy his connection.
HISTORY
Kael was born to a Jedi Master and a former Senator, and was raised to learn to wield the Force and fight with his practice saber while attending school. He managed to get a decent education, and was set to try and choose his life before his father had to go to war. The only thing Kael had left of his father after that was his old Lightsaber, which he began to use to practice every day - getting a good feel for lightsaber combat. However, due to his naive nature and the fate of his father, his connection with the Force was very tentative at the best of times - leading him to finally go to join the New Jedi Order and begin his Force training in earnest. Going away from home was the only way he would put aside past events and make something of himself.
