Kadann is a former Jedi Master of the Republic. He was one of many jedi who went into hiding as the Republic collapsed under the onslaught of the One Sith.
For the last decade he has been living on Utapau working as a local marshal. Removing himself from the galaxy at large let him feel like less of a failure over time, focusing on local problems and people he knew.
Sensing the destruction of Csilla, Kadann did some soul searching and headed to where he had buried his lightsaber years before. There was such anger and fear unleashed into the Galaxy, that he decided it was his time to enact a final venelgeance on those who had driven him into hiding.

He rarely smiles, but he also rarely raises his voice. When he speaks he is brief and to the point. His patience rarely lasts long enough to explain himself at depth to convince people to his point of view.
Current: after a bloody trail of revenge against the One Sith who had chased him into hiding, Kadann was corrupted. He now serves as a mercenary for the highest bidder.
