(+) Scrapyard Brat: A lost child, a street urchin, growing up out of the Works would most of the time end up shot dealing death sticks at the wrong territory. Kad ended up living at the scrapyards and salvaging what could be salvage. Selling it for food and drink, the future marine became an artist in salvaging remains.
(+) Head on his shoulders: Kad, although a very direct man, has a head on his shoulders capable of taking level-headed decisions in the heat of a situation. Being composed and pragmatic where others would be under pressure gives him an advantage in most situations.

(-) Words are cheap: Kad is a man terrible with words and diplomacy. His honesty and bluntness can often lead to conflict where it could be avoided.
(-) Toxic Habits: Like father, like son. Alcohol is this man's salvation and ruin.

Talk about myself ? I ain't done that before. I am serious. Ain't talked to nobody 'bout myself. Why should I ? You can find wretched souls like me all over the galaxy, tell you the same chit I'm about to tell ya. I ain't special, I ain't unique. Just one of the many.
My past ?
Not much to say. Alcoholic dad taught me how to make a thing out of everything, how a ship works and how to appreciate what others considered as junk. Sounds like a wise man right ? Too bad he hardly appreciated my ma. Had a few siblings, left as soon as they could. Heard one of 'em had become a Jedi. Secretly, I'd always known she'd be one.
Then justice finally came on a standard Monday night, One Sith police. Cracked down the door and you know the story then. Saved my ma from my pa. Took us in to this government made places to live. Missed my scrapyards then but I'd still visit 'em when i didn't have school. It was just me and my ma tryin' to survive. She'd tell me everyday that when I grow up I should pay some debt back.
I grew up and I did.
I joined the One Sith Marines.
Regular grunt who'd fix a ship with whatever he had at hand. Kept my head down, did my job and learned how to blow things up. Turned out I was real good at that. Then the war moved away from the frontier, came biting the Sith by the throat. Ended up gettin' deployed all around the galaxy. Been fightin' Mandos, Pubs, those Alliance folks and everythin' in between.
As y'all know, we damn lost the war. Lost my home to these Alliance folks. Peacemaking Jedi brought war to my home. Ain't no peace I want from a Jedi is what I learned. We were tracked down, jailed, some outright killed due to vengeance. Who would weep for us when the Alliance had the Core.
That's right.
Nobody.
Made my escape with a dozen vet OS Commandos. Spec Force and all that. Old men made a band, expendables they called it, a band of hired guns. That's how I learned to do what I do now. Learned it from the best.
What I'd teach 'em ask ?
There ain't much you could teach these old dogs but I'd lie if they didn't appreciate my ship fixin' skills.
What happened next ?
As they say, there ain't no country for old men.
Tough times, families, age. Some did not get to there, of course, many ended up in a ditch with a smile. The rest retired. Hard to believe war bred men retiring, ey ? Maybe some day I would too.
Until then, I got a debt to pay and a promise to keep. Names may have changed but I still know where my duty lies and who my enemies are.
