Strengths:

Description: The K-90 is the standard defensive fighter of the insectoid Kari, the inhabitants of the Outer Rim Coalition's most populous world. With controls simple enough to be operated by Kari drones, the K-90 was designed in cooperation with Silk Holdings, which has a long track record of making space travel accessible to disadvantaged worlds and species. Swarms of K-90 fighters protect Karideph's 88-100 billion inhabitants. Additionally, the small fighter's modular cockpit interior can be adjusted to allow operation by other, larger species, such as humans. The K-90 is a cheap, easily repaired, relatively low-tech fighter, and has become popular in the defense forces of various low-profile Outer Rim Coalition worlds. The Underground has been known to use it as well.

You've dropped the torpedo launchers off our cookie cutter fighter, but increased the squadron count by 2 and given a little boost to defences, speed and manoeuvrability.

I feel this needs a stronger weakness for a cheap mass produced starfighter.

Summary of changes to the example ship: I left speed the same, reduced maneuverability, bumped defenses up a bit, swapped the launchers for cannons, reduced hyperdrive speed, and increased squadron count by two.

Threw in another weakness.
