K-20 Resin Glop Grenade​

SPECIAL FEATURES

• The K-20 grenade operates exactly the same as the traditional G-20 grenade, but the foam is laced with nullification resin. When activated, high-pressure jets spray an extremely strong adhesive foam over an effective range of five meters and a maximum effective range of a ten-meter area, potentially trapping anyone within the area at detonation. It can also be set to explode on contact. The foam itself hardens on contact with oxygen and is incredibly durable, comparable to ferrocrete. It is nonlethal, although people have been known to suffocate if their airways are covered by the foam.

STRENGTHS

• Force Nullification: The resin within the foam of the grenade operates to suppress the Force in whatever it coats. Therefore, a Force User covered in the resin foam would likely find their abilities severely dampened.

WEAKNESSES

• Dissolvable: After five minutes the foam becomes very brittle and will shatter beneath application of force.

Hello I'll be looking this over for you. First part is going to be do you have an example in canon of the resin functioning on an organic person the same it does an artifact?

The range is pretty large. I would ask for an effective and maximum range. 10 meters around where it impacts is going to be too unbalanced as it can just be tossed in a room and explode on impact with the floor to instantly fill the room. ten meters can be the maximum range but the best range should be a third to half.

Was there supposed to be more to this sentence?

A reusable grenade designed specially to take down Force Users without having to resort to highly rare or exotic materials.

The resin is from one group a couple thousand years ago to conceal the artifacts they were taking in. That is pretty highly rare and exotic in terms of sources to find it.

Not that I recall. However, I believe it would logically follow that if it suppresses a force artifact it would also suppress the Force power of an organic individual covered in the resin. The through line being that it suppresses the Force and there’s no distinction I am aware of in canon between objects which only suppress Force artifacts and do not also suppress the Force in individuals.

I am also not aware of anything that says it does not work that way. Production is set at limited and this is the intended effect. I can reduce to semi-unique, if that matters.

This looks better there is just two things.

Remember that the effectiveness of this is determined by who you are using it against and it should be clear in the sub.

And second given the rarity and limited use the production should go down to semi-unique.

Fixed the production value to semi-unique. I’m not sure what you mean by the effectiveness depends on who it is used on.

That could be achieved using a standard glop grenade. The intent is for this to be nullifying without killing using an alternative to the typical anti-Force materials used in most submissions.

If the force nullifying/dampening property inherit in the resin is not going to be accepted then I will resubmit this as a voidstone-laced glop grenade.
