Just something I'm not sure of

So I'm thinking of making a new character but I thought it would be neat if this one had a personal droid, like R2 or 3PO. But I wasn't sure if it would need to be a completely different character or if I could treat it like a "pet" npc, where they really only add commentary or do very little things. If anyone can help clarify this for me thank you so much.

Minor NPCs (like the droid in question) don't need a character sheet.
However, you can make one for the record in the Codex section of the factory.

If it's just a regular R2 type droid you'll be fine without.

Take a gander at our NPC Creation Forum. Create Non-Playable characters ranging from pets, assistants, fellow soldiers, or even spouse.
