The Tusken Raider -- a Twi'lek and a cyborg under her ragged robes and mask -- drove her lightsabre into the top of the broken-down sandcrawler. The jawas had evacuated weeks ago, leaving the crawler to the mercy of the sands; this was evening, and the shade on the east side darkened the steep new dune that had been her path up here. The west side was clear of sand, but very hot to the touch, courtesy of twin suns and a long day. Heat radiated up through her boots from the topside plating; that heat grew as the metal conducted the touch of her lightsabre. She began drawing a large circle, a good metre and a half wide: an access hatch, and an egress route for the lost treasure she hoped to find inside.
