APPEARANCE:
Tall, thin, and angular, at first glance Juno could easily be described as beautiful, but there is a hardness about her that would probably discourage such a label. To be sure she is statuesque and classically attractive, but the wildness behind her vivid blue eyes can be slightly unnerving. Although she is of normal weight for her height, that she is well above average height makes her appear to be rail thin, and the way she dresses only amplifies that effect. She has long, golden blonde hair which she typically wears up in some kind of tail or other kind of updo. She tends to wear dramatic makeup, again highlighting and exaggerating her features.
BIOGRAPHY:
Juno entered the world mere moments after her brother Janus, one of a pair of twins born to Elisama Anover and Julius Chase. Elisama and Julius, each heirs to half of the family business-turned-massive-conglomerate, Anover Chase Industries, sought to end the endless power struggles for control of the company played out in the board room regularly between the Anovers and the Chases. She was born on Bespin, where her family resided and where there were offices of the company. As Janus and Juno grew up, shuttling from one home to another as the needs of the company pulled her parents hither and thither, the necessity that they take over the business was drilled into them, and all that they did was in contemplation of their responsibilities. For her part, Juno took an interest in science and engineering, and from the time of her young adulthood she worked in the research and development department at Anover Chase Industries. Her colleagues and supervisors at the time found her ideas to be alternatively unorthodox and shocking. Painfully conscious of her position as the daughter of the current Chief Executive Officer, they were hesitant to object. During this time, cognizant of what was expected of her, Juno would tiptoe right up to the ethical line but not quite step over it, displaying only hints of the iconoclastic -- some might say, flagrant disregard of ethical standards -- that would become characteristic of her later career.
She graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Avalonia, and followed it with a Masters in Biomedical Engineering and an MD from the University of Cloud City and New Heliopolis Medical School respectively. She would also attend various business leadership seminars and intern with her father, then Chief Executive Officer of Anover Chase, to learn valuable management skills. In a shameless act of nepotism, Juno became Director of Research Operations at Anover Chase upon the retirement of the previous holder of the post. She immediately went full-bore, expanding the scope of existing research and developing new departments, including controversial live subject testing. Upon the retirement of her father, her brother Janus -- by then Chairman of the Board of Anover Chase -- ensured that she was their father's successor.
