- I Can Do Better - More effective than generic bacta, Jak has cranked the effectiveness of his own gel up to eleven. Able to heal a scar in seconds, a broken leg in hours, the gel (in sufficient quantities) can heal any non-fatal injury in much shorter time than it would take regular bacta to.
- I Can Do Anything Better Than You - Some bacta patients feel that bacta's slime-like qualities make it uncomfortable to be in for extended periods of time. With rapid healing, little time is needed, and with a more gel-like texture, it is more comfortable to use.
- No You Can't - As thick as it is, it is heavy in large quantities. People cannot be fully immersed, and even when they are partially immersed, they must do so horizontally. This does make it inconvenient for public usage.
- The Good Stuff - A persistent side-effect, even for those not allergic to bacta, is a non-debilitating light-headedness. While it isn't necessarily life-threatening, it can be very distracting to those unaware of the effect.
Trying to become entirely self-sustaining, Jak decided to create his own bacta. Based on what he could find on his own, he gathered together some of the most healing plants and created a salve - from there, he took core elements and created something which is far better than bacta - though not without its own problems.
