Birth of a Voice:
On the coldest day of the year on Roon, Joshua William Helthane was born to David and Abagail Helthane, and was the youngest son of the happy couple. His older sisters, one age three and the other two, were delighted at their little brother. The child was raised with the money, care and love of the middle class, and slowly began to learn from those around him. His first word was not "mommy" or even "daddy". It was "please"
Rising Star:
Quickly learning to speak by the age of two, Joshua was the brunt of his older sister's jokes. One time, when Joshua was seven, hos oldest sister tried to make him do her chores for a week. He refused, and got a black eye for his troubles. And still the chores were undone. But when their parents asked why, Jael said that "he wouldn't let me". Joshua, before their parents said a word, muttered "make me do them all" Their father caught it, and the boy was sent to his work. Jael, however, was forced to take on her brother's chores. She resented it.
Fourtune's Fool:
At age ten, Joshua came down with a rare disease known a Plyridian fever. While he managed to survive the ordeal, he came out with some of the nerves in his right leg dead and unresponsive. While he could have it amputated and replaced with a cybernetic, his parents couldn't afford it, and he simply learned to live with the limp. It hurt at first, but as he got used to it, he even began to joke about it. All in all, he took it well.
Final Words:
After being accepted into the Academy of Bothuwai at eighteen, he began to look into politics. While he loved the Confederacy and what it stood for, he wanted to look abroad. And so, when the position of ambassador came up, he applied for a job.
