- Combat Function: As a Special Forces Operative, Torson is extremely skilled in both the usage of small arms in addition to being a veteran Teräs Käsi practitioner. As such he often uses a blend of precise marksmanship, rapid positioning and close-quarters combat to subdue his enemies often taking an aggressive shock-and-awe approach to combat aimed at overwhelming his foe and preventing them from striking back.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Joseph Torson was born in the Deep Core World of Byss, the son of Imperial-leaning parents. His father was a high-ranking military officer within the local defense forces and his mother was a pro-Imperial news anchor. As such from a young age Torson he was raised along Imperial values, joining the local military academy when he was old enough. However his Imperial upbringing was disrupted during the Byss Crisis when the Galactic Alliance overthrew the Pro-Imperial government of Byss resulting in the death of his father and the imprisonment of his mother.
During the chaos of the Crisis, Torson would find himself spirited off-world to the Unknown Regions following Marlon Sularen, the former ruler of Byss had joined forces with the Final Dawn, a Neo-Imperial subgroup of the larger Brotherhood of the Maw. At O'reen, the capital of the Final Dawn, Torson would resume and complete his training, proving to be an exceptional student with great potential as a soldier. As a result he would find himself being brought under the tutelage of Sularen who also happened to be very close to his father during his time as the ruler of Byss. It was also during this period that he learned of the death of his mother, murdered at the hands of Alliance fanatics that sought to eradicate the last traces of Imperialism on Byss.
When the Second Great Hyperspace War would erupt, Torson would prove himself on the battlefield partaking in many operations against the Galactic Alliance driven by a desire for revenge against those he blamed for the death of his parents, honing his skills to become a deadly opponent to whoever was unfortunate to encounter him in battle. This would result in Torson being elevated to a Special Forces operative where his skills could be put to better use by his superiors.
Following the collapse of the Brotherhood of the Maw, Torson would remain at Sularen's side soon being promoted to Captain and assigned to the newly formed Red Right Hand, a Special Forces unit loyal to Sularen acting as his personal enforcers. As the head of the Red Right Hand, Torson would continue to distinguish himself especially as the Final Dawn under Sularen joined forces with the Dark Empire and partook in the subsequent Core Wars against the Galactic Alliance.
After the collapse of the Dark Empire, Torson would continue to follow Sularen finding himself joining the ranks of the Imperial Confederation where he would continue to serve under Sularen, now the Supreme Commander of the Confederation's Armed Forces as one of his primary enforcers. Now he ensures that the Supreme Commander's mission to ensure the longevity of the Confederation is achieved through any means necessary loyal to the Imperial cause until the very end.
