BIOGRAPHY:
Jorus was born and raised a Warden of the Sky, a nomadic Force-using cultural identity. Although he was very weak in the Force, to the point where the best training was wasted on him, he remained - culturally and functionally - a Warden for his entire adult life. Jorus served alongside Jedi Knights and Masters when necessary, a relationship which soured when his parents were caught in between Master Je'gan Olra'en and some Sith criminals on Taris.
Perhaps the greatest influence of his adult life has been Chloe Blake, a more powerful Warden, a close friend and a platonic love interest. Jorus and Chloe have fought in rebellions, crewed starliners, competed in space races and otherwise lived the free life in the spacelanes. He is also close friends with Sarge Potteiger, with whom he has rassled untold numbers of scumbags and otherwise wreaked havoc.
After the birth of his child, however, Jorus found a need to settle down. He attempted to make ends meet by smuggling for the Hutts, but ended up taking a job with Omega Pyre out of desperation. With the Pyre, he learned to access the Force in his very narrow specializations, and took advantage of all manner of opportunities. He served in battles against Eriaduan dictators and Bando Gora Reavers during the entirety of Omega Pyre's southern expansion. He has fought Dark Side Force-users of all ranks and descriptions, but his preferred place is right behind the controls of a ship -- any ship.
Alongside HK-36 and Siobhan Kerrigan, he stormed a Bando Gora command ship/temple. In the ensuing fight, his cybernetic eyes were broken and he lost track of his [/size]Mandalorian shell gun, the weapon he had carried in a hundred fights (often loaded with Lix rounds). Subsequently, a blinded, incoherent Jorus was evacuated by Maelion Liates, the command ship's reactor went supercritical, and the gun was lost. With the aid of the Resu gunsmith Iron Giant, he stripped down a Czerka HeadBanger riot gun into pistol form.
He decided to begin building a lightsabre at last -- but nothing that would have required him to learn swordsmanship, an effort which had failed spectacularly on more than one occasion. Instead, he focused on his own existing strengths in combat, and constructed a lightsabre that would fit his skillset. As Ayden Cater put it, "If we can't adapt Jorus to the lightsabre, we adapt the lightsabre to Jorus." The resulting weapon was optimized for knife fighting, a skill which Jorus already had. He later lost it in a fight with Darth Vornskr, who heartily annihilated him despite taking a beskar shotgun to the groin.
Jorus and his wife Alna (nee D'Lessio) are very, very wealthy, due to creating entire hyperlanes. They created the Mara Corridor, and Jorus is the discoverer of the free worlds of the Levantine Sanctum, including Kyrikal and Hagron's World. Jorus owns 55% of Silk Holdings, and pays expert businesspersons very, very well to run it. He has a million-credit chump-change bounty in CIS space.
