BIOGRAPHY:
Although born on his home planet Valdera (located in the Unknown Regions), Joriven has spent most of his life on the decks of the Valderan Home Fleet. As is tradition since the great migration, the exodus from the mid rim to the edges of the galaxy during the plague, each individual must choose a career essential to the survival of the fleet. After his formal education, he chose the path of the soldier at 16 to the surprise of his father, who expected him to continue the family trade as an engineer. Not long after he completed basic training he was shipped out with his squadmates in Echo Squad as with the rest of fleet security to restore order to his home planet, where a civil war had finally broken out between those who wanted more Independence from Fleet Command, and the Valderan government.
Seeing action in a series of engagements, Joriven was a seasoned soldier by the end of the conflict in 842 aby. Frequent fighting and losing his friends over the 3 long years of insurrection has hardened his resolve and determination. After order was restored, the board of Admirals unanimously agreed on reinstating the Omega initiative, a program which rigorously trained those who volunteered to become an elite paramilitary, naval commando force. Joriven said farewell to the few friends that remained in Echo squad and signed up for the Omega Initiative. After a year of enduring grueling training, Joriven was among the first to form "Vicor Platoon".
Now 22, Joriven was stunned, as were most Valderans at the recent contact with the outside world. Upon learning of the resurgence of the the galactic community, Fleet Command ordered reconnaissance and intel gathering on all matters of the current galactic state. Dismayed upon learning that the One Sith Empire is slowly encroaching to the Valderan system, a general mobilization has been ordered and the fleet remains on constant alert. Joriven is currently learning more about the galaxy when he is not participating in exercises and drills.
