BIOGRAPHY
Joran Olan was born in the Scar Worlds, and like most from that region of space, his early life was spent struggling for survival. He only ever knew the sparse extended members of his family, as his parents were killed by the roving pirates that plagued the region bereft of any organized society. He learned how to scavenge before he learned to read, and by the time he was entering his youth, he had learned how to fight for every scrap of food. He was destined for a life of struggle and toil, until he was found by a Jedi; Jedi Knight Kellian Cass. She had sensed Joran's force connection, and offered him a chance to escape from his life of starvation and serve a higher cause than fighting for his next few minutes of life. He accepted.
Joran would spend the next decade of his life under the tutelage of Kellian Cass. His master taught him how to read, how to do more than just survive, and how to help others. Joran and his master traveled across many worlds, bringing aid and providing medical care. It was also during this time that Joran had his first taste of true combat. He had fought many people before, even killed, trying to survive, but fighting in his first real battle was an event he would not forget. Side by side with his master, with his newly constructed lightsaber, Joran fought back against a pirate force that sought to pillage an isolated community. He fought not as a survivor, but as a defender of the innocent, and a warrior for justice.
Joran would learn under his master for many more years, before she finally met her end at the blade of a rogue would be Sith Lord. Joran avenged his master, and swore to continue her efforts to aid those in that region of space. He has since developed his own understanding and learning, visiting various Jedi Enclaves and temples across the galaxy in his limited time not dedicated to helping others. It was during a visit to the Jakku Enclave that Joran would determine his next course of action as he returned to the eastern fringes of the galaxy.
