PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

To begin, the common features of Pantorans are present on Jon. He has the typical blue skin, and yellow eyes (albeit more green tinged). His face then also has the common yellow tattoos present on almost all Pantorans marking him as a member of an elite, and semi-prominent, family on Pantora.

His facial features are blocky and strong. With how his face is structured, he often appears very stern and focused regardless of mood. His head has a square shaped, yet with a slightly softened jawline that is cradled with a thick neck. His eyes are small and narrow. His nose is almost flat and downturned but with a chiseled and blocky structure. His mouth is practically a narrow line on his face with small lips framing it. He keeps his hair cut short and straight, and has a prominent mustache.

Jon's physical fitness is very visible. He is large, bulky, and muscularly built with broad shoulders, a barrel-like chest, a lean stomach, and powerful arms and legs.

Jon often dresses formally, or is in a Pantoran military uniform. Casually, he dresses in finewear he kept after leaving his home-world of Pantora. However, when seen in more professional, he wears his old uniform from the Pantoran Army, yet with all insignia for Pantora removed with only his marks as a General and Tank Commander kept pinned on.

INVENTORY

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Jon is typically quiet, observant, and stoic. However, he has a knack for being a powerful orator when the situation calls. It is as if he treats many situations like a battlefield where every move is a tactical maneuver to accomplish whatever goal is present. His mind is driven by goals and objectives to achieve with varying degrees of ambition. Ultimately though, he is a soldier at heart. He is a man who has strong principles, holds to them with a firm grip, and is more than willing to fight for them alongside anyone who shares in them.

Pantora's proclaimed ethics of egalitarianism, freedom, and staunch defense of the two prior things, has been deeply engrained in Jon. However, for the past years he has realized that such principles are not just limited to Pantora. Additionally, he has become rather jaded with politicians on independent worlds who seem to just sit passively amidst the larger powers of the galaxy doing whatever they will. He sees tyranny running rampant in the galaxy, yet also sees failure in current larger powers to do anything about it. Therefore, he has devoted his life to personally fighting against any tyranny and exploitation he can with whatever resources he may get.

His biggest fear is to become the fat and lazy bureaucrat he has come to be ever increasingly disappointed in. As a result, his years as the leader of a mercenary group seems to mainly have persisted out of fear for him becoming a politician. However, he also recognizes there are worlds that need proper governance. As a result, he has great conflict in his mind over which path he is to take. He wants free as many worlds he can from tyranny yet does not want to fall for the same sloth so many others have in his eyes.

STRENGTHS
  • Athleticism: Jon has made a career and lifestyle out of being a soldier, and has become very physically fit as a result.
  • Charisma: When the time comes, Jon's quiet exterior can give way to powerful passion through rousing speeches and inspiring acts.
  • Staunch in Ideals: Jon will stand for what he believes, and fight tooth and nail for them.
  • Stoicism: Despite how hard things may seem, Jon keeps a cool and collected exterior for the sake of himself and those serving alongside him.

WEAKNESSES
  • Technically an Outlaw: His departure from the Pantoran Army has made his recent deeds not the most legal matter despite whatever good they may accomplish.
  • Isolated: While free to fight where and how he pleases, his situation leaves him with limited resources.
  • Soldier Mindset: Jon's military background cages his mind to approaching problems with direct intent rather than seeing much nuance in things.
  • Principled Hesitance: In his mind there is a conflict between staying a warrior but having limited accomplishments for his goals, or take the reigns and accomplish his goals but be tempted to be the slow and passive politician he hates.

HISTORY
Jon grew up in a rather affluent, and semi-prominent family on Pantora. With Pantora isolated and on its own, its military it has usually been proud of for defending itself from pirates and other Outer Rim threats became subject to neglect and passivity. Many in leadership seemed content with making life comfortable rather than taking action against many of the threats that face the world. Rather, they seemed content to simply maintain things and wait for problems to reach their shores. Yet, Jon was young and fell in love with the principles of his people's culture in presentation. His family were rather patriotic, and many held positions in the Pantoran military.

Yet, Jon was plagued with poor physical health which frustrated the boy immensely. That was until he approached his father about it. Instead of cybernetics and surgeries, Jon's father would tell him to build his body. Soon, a special forces fighter began training the sickly boy in martial arts, as well as overseeing intense physical exercise. After years, when Jon was in his early teens, all the ills of his childhood seemed to be gone. In a way, Jon killed the sickness. This experienced shaped the young Pantoran where he chose to live life strenuously over common comforts. It was then he would soon train and become commissioned as an officer in the Pantoran army. All the while, he would take part in the trappings of elite life between deployments yet with a quiet and stoic vigor. Such situations would be taking hikes in the more natural areas of Pantora, hunting trips on Orto Plutonia accompanied by Talz guides, and studiously learning history of his people and some events in the wider galaxy. Particularly, he would devour holo-archives of military history, zoology, and philosophy.

Later in life, after defending Pantora and Orto-Plutonia from a pirate raid, and also seeing the Sith Order knocking on his home-world's doorstep, Jon's perspective on the situation on his home-world began to change. His love for the principles he grew up with, and was told was his people's culture, was all a blinding veil to the fact that his world was ruled by passive leaders who did not wish to take any action for the sake of their people. He then realized there were countless other planets in similar situations, and it disgusted him. It was then he realized he was more loyal to principles than any particular people or nation. At first, he would try to question the status quo, encourage those in his command towards his ideals, and even challenge for public office in the Pantoran Assembly. Yet, all these efforts proved fruitless. The passivity still seemed stronger no matter how many people seemed to agree with him. They liked his ideas, but not the commitment to accomplishing them, it seemed. Thus, he would send a holo-letter of annexation to his commanders and would leave Pantora. In his career, he would have become an accomplished and respected Tank Commander, and even a low-level General all while he was 28 years old.

For the next years, he would live life as a mercenary despite calling himself a freedom fighter and defender of peace. Ultimately, he was just a mercenary with a conscience. He would find a way to use his personal funds to commission a tank to be built on Geonosis to accomplish this career change. He would hire some skilled crew that seemed to like his ideals despite possibly not having his zealotry for them. Soon, he would become the head of a respectable, decently equipped, but overall small mercenary company that will take contracts from planets across the Outer Rim where no greater power is present to defend those worlds or communities from pirates, cartels, gangsters, and smugglers. However, Geonosis has been regarded as a new home for Jon, and a pseudo headquarters for his company due to the access to well-made equipment that their contract work allows them to pay for. Yet, in Jon's mind, he feels as if his efforts are ultimately for nothing. While he feels dissatisfied with those who claim to oppose tyranny, and despises tyranny and lawlessness, he could not change much as a mercenary leader no matter how righteous he would be. Yet, he fears the steps needed to accomplish such lofty goals could leave him overwhelmingly tempted to become the passive and lazy politician he left behind when resining from the Pantoran Army.
