STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (WIP) :
Worldly-Wise: Jin-Hun is an experienced man, and has seen a light in his time. Both under the banner of the Jedi Order and as a self exiled renegade. He is thus familiar with many customs and languages (also aided by the force) from across the galaxy.
Shi-Cho Specialist: Jin-Hun is a stalwart practitioner in the raw lightsaber fighting style of Form I, Way of The Sarlac, or The Determination Form. Exemplified by his use of a narrow bladed lightsaber. It is simple and it's simplicity is strength. Practical against multiple opponents, yet not so much against a single target.
"Grey": Though some might consider being "Grey" in the force as a positive, it isn't so for Jin-Hun. He is not grey in the sesne that he utilizes the Dark as well as Lightside, but more so in that he can hamper his own connection to the Light by actively ignoring the will of the Force at times. Thus weakening his use of the The Force at times. Though Jin-Hun is firmly a lightsaber, 30 years ignoring the will of the Force has left an impact on him.
PERSONALITY & PHILOSOPHY:
Jin-Hun over the years has adopted a rather affable and cordial disposition. As well as a "go with the flow" attitude unlike his younger years where he was a lot more headstrong in his life. Though he often employ's jovial teasing and verbal mischief he never stays far from his usual respectfulness with those he's around, even towards the many adversaries he comes across. Believing there's little to be gained from brining in negativity by showing one disrespect. Even those who've fallen victim to the dark side. This zeal for showing respect even goes beyond just the living too. To Jin-Hun, everyone and everything is the ever changing legacy of those that have come before. Also that by the very nature of the Force, there is little to no room for absolutes.
APPEARANCE:
Jin-Hun often sports wearing practical and comfortable robes and tunics not too dissimilar to that worn by the Jedi. But most notably is his head ware. A straw hood or helmet reminiscent of a basket that he can look outside of. Not really to conceal his identity but diminish his sense ego. Emphasizing his desire to be one with The Force and by extension all things it connects. Under his straw concealment Jin-Hun is a rather youthful looking young man despite his age. Carried with him often look to be a simple looking hilted swords which is his disguised broadsabers. As well as a simple wooden flute made of Bamboo. He also commonly wears simple, and blocky wooden sandals like footwear with socks.
BIOGRAPHY:
Jin-Hun is a near-human, born on Atrisia and in their late childhood recruited into the Jedi order in times before the infamous Gulag Virus. By the time of the galactic pandemic he was a newly anointed Jedi Knight. In the ten years between the outbreak and netherworld event Jin-Hun had worked tirelessly on the front lines of major galactic tragedy. The conflicts and disasters chronically weaken his connection to The Force.
However, after the disappearance of billions across the galaxy in 844 ABY Jin-Hun had nearly succumbed to his despair and to the darkside. For a time being he’d gone AWOL from the rest of the struggling Jedi Order, even been considered KIA for a while. But it was not much more than a self imposed exile. As a Jedi Knight Jin-Hun had put the responsibility of the world on his shoulders and was filled with guilt. Having sensed and witnessed so much and yet felt so helpless and powerless that it nearly broke him.
During this time he went back to the only other place with any sort of familiarity to him, his homeworld of Atrisia. Reconnecting with his roots and heritage as a way to ground himself. Eventually he began to travel the galaxy, still actively doing his best to ignore the woes of the galaxy and the will of The Force. Jin-Hun had sought out wisdom from other cultures, Force Orders and similar monastic traditions. Gathering information and different perspectives from many of the galaxy’s sentients.
This exploration of self discovery for Jin-Hun concluded after encountering a peaceful enclave of nigh-immortal Gen’Dai. Where he learned of their philisocial ways. Though never fully agreeing with the aliens, he fully understands and empathizes with their nearly detrimental passiveness. Especially since Jin-Hun himself was exceptionally long lived and still rather youthful despite being as old as the typical middle aged human. That change can seem like an illusion and even futile. That history was bound to have patterns if not even repeat itself at times. Particularly when viewing the world through the perspective of Gen’Dai who could be hundreds or thousands of years old. Some of which very likely witnessed conflicts like the New Sith Wars first hand. Yet still after seeing and even fallen victim to millenia of hardship the Gen’Dai could still keep their chins up and press on. Something that Jin-Hun believed he very much needed to hear.
Hybridizing the many views and philosophies in his travels, and reaching newfound wisdom Jin-Hun began to reintegrate back into the Galaxy. Reconnecting with the Jedi after 30 years separated from it. Though as a distinctly different man than he once was. Before he was a much more individualistic and hot headed Knight. Representing this difference between the old him and the new him, Jin-Hun has taken on a more stoic and humble lifestyle, nearly minimalistic. Emphasized by his attire which had cultural roots back to an Atrisian monastic tradition. Still something of a nomad, but one more dedicated to the Light Side of The Force than ever before.
