Jedi Faction to join?

I don't know much about the Corellian Confederation. have to look into that one

SJO though, that is not a light side faction and not a place for a hard line Lightsider.

Be happy to answer any questions you might have about the Green Jedi with the Corellian Confederation! There is a Jedi Social thread going on at present for the Green Jedi - feel free to have your character drop in to test the waters if you'd like!

It's whatever you want to make it. Great place to meet people, fun Dominions to punch out some posts, and they even offer salt-free Invasion opportunities too. Some of the best Lightsiders in the galaxy have called themselves "Silver" and never touched an ounce of shame. Really cool place honestly and I think everybody should try it at least once. :D

[member="Lynette Lykova"] Silvers were my first choice few months back for this character (By all mean, they got some great writers) . But, like i said. Jafan is a hard line lightsider and would end up not staying long in the SJO ranks due to current alliances. He would not be able to respect any Jedi that calls a Sith Lord a trusted ally.

I can respect that. No doubt.

Well, then I'd happily give the Green Jedi of Corellia my recommendation. Peeps are tight and that floating temple is killing it. Cheers mate! :D

Yes, the Green Jedi are a lightside Jedi Order - their members are not using the darkside (unless their characters are doing so in secret due to a RP story arc of some sort). They are less structured and the Jedi have much more freedom than your traditional Jedi Orders (such as during the late Republic) and can be quite roguish (they are based on Corellia after all!) - but still firmly following the path of the lightside of the force.

That being said, while The Green Jedi (at least as far as I am concerned and aware) would not work knowingly with Sith and darkside users, they do not have any say in who the Corellian Confederation works with as they are not political figures.

Kian is a Jedi Shadow - so if he crosses paths with a Sith it is typically to apprehend or kill them (or at least try to) :)

[member="Jeremiah Jade"] makes a great point - you can always try either faction out and leave if you don't like them. The only other Jedi Order I can think of, aside from Silvers and Greens is the Jedi Covenant - but I could be mistaken.

There's always the Jedi Praxeum, although it's more of a mini group.

Also it's a bit inactive at the moment because a lot of us are focusing on invasion season right now, but I'm sure that'll change soon, right, [member="Coren Starchaser"]?

[member="Romi Jade"] isn't ORC also allied with CIS which is run by Sith Lords and icky witches? lol

So far i got the Green Order as being the purest faction but still attatched to a political body government.

Idk the logistics of their alliances, you'd have to inquire with them lol. I only know the Covenant/GA are a subgroup of the ORC now, and likely the most militant of the orders when it comes to combating the dark side. Coren or Zark would be able to better advise. I only brought it up because it was mentioned.

I'm in all the Jedi groups however, and my character doesn't have much IC knowledge of the inner-workings of the CIS.

Also, I wouldn't qualify the Praxeum as an Order per say. It's more of a place where Jedi would congregate more than anything, a place to further education. All are welcome despite specific order allegiances. (That's my take on it)

But the Greens are a good choice too.

I apologize if an overly complex answer to your simple question seems like hedging, but since the ORC is a 'government' in the loosest possible terms there is a bit more to it than a simple yes or no.

The Underground has people we like and people we don't like. The CIS hasn't done anything to piss us off, and since they are ostensibly founded on libertarian values we consider them trade partners and have participated in defense pacts against common threats.

But there are also groups within the ORC like the Covenant who are not super cordial towards certain Sith Lords, and tolerate their involvement in outer rim affairs as more of a grim necessity. So while I can't promise you any religious crusades in the near future, we wouldn't make you swear an oath of fealty and friendship to the Vicelord either.
