- Much like the Jawa Arquebus and Jawa Scrap Armor, each Canister Rifle is produced by hand, individually crafted by the Jawa constructing the firearm - thus they are often just as much highly modified and show off the creativity of the Jawa that constructed the weapon. Likewise, while some Canister Rifles are similar, no two are the exact same unless they're produced by the same Jawa (even then this is a rarity).

Forward Overcharge Trigger Grip - Sitting forward of the weapon just below the barrel of the weapon is a secondary trigger. When squeezed the weapon consumes the full charge of the power pack and unleashes it in an overcharged burst.
Power Cable - The Jawa Canister Rifle has a built-in power cable that can be utilized to plug the weapon into a portable power pack or Gonk Droid.
Anti-Vehicle / Anti-Droid - The Jawa Canister Rifle is more effective against Vehicles and Droids.
Air Cooling - The Accu-Accelerator sits out in the open to ensure that the weapon doesn't overheat; however, this is also a drawback as seen below.
Utinni! - Be it because they are made by Jawas or just their construction in general; the Jawa Canister Rifle is incapable of being fired by a species other than a Jawa - as the weapon is likely to explode, fail or otherwise fall apart in the hands of a Non-Jawa.
Anti-Personnel - The Jawa Canister Rifle is not as effective against organic beings as it is against vehicles and droids.
Overcharge Fire - If utilized too often or too frequently, the weapon can be rendered useless or otherwise malfunction.
Exposed Accu-Accelerator - As a means to mitigate heat building up in the weapon, the Accu-Accelerator is mounted on top of the weapon. The drawback is that this leaves the primary component of the weapon exposed to possible damage. If struck with a well-placed shot, the weapon can be rendered completely inert.
Utinni! - Extremely fragile even in the hands of Jawas, the Jawa Canister Rifle has a high chance of misfiring or otherwise fail in the heat of the moment.
Explosion - While the weapon is capable of being plugged into a portable Power Pack or Gonk Droid; these can be targeted by enemy fire, potentially causing them to explode - damaging both the weapon and any Jawa's around the affected area.

As Jawas storm a position, sometimes those positions are heavily defended with Vehicles and Droids - and in this case, a larger weapon is needed beyond the Arquebus that the Jawas carry. Unleashing a powerful burst of Ion/EMP energy, the Jawa Canister Rifle is an upsized version of the classical Jawa Ionization Rifle often utilized by Jawas to capture droids. The Canister Rifle is often paired with a portable power pack or Gonk Droid to maximize its efficiency - though, at times it carries a simple power pack. Their primary drawback, however, is that they are designed to be effective against droids and vehicles - meaning that while they can potentially stun an organic being if struck, they are not lethal.
Much like the Jawa Arquebus, the Canister Rifle is also produced by hand - resulting in no two being the same - likewise, this often means that these weapons can be just as equally unpredictable in their functionality. At times it also seems that the Canister Rifles only function properly in the hands of Jawas, at times malfunctioning or refusing the fire for Non-Jawas. A major drawback of the Canister Rifle is also in its capability to fire an overcharge burst. This capability, if utilized too often or too frequently this can often cause the weapon to cease firing properly or malfunctioning completely.
