STRENGTHS

Heavy Armaments - The Javelin-class was designed with heavier armaments relative to its size when compared to similarly sized and armed vessels. These heavier armaments permit the vessel to stand toe-to-toe with larger Frigates and potentially cause irritation to smaller-sized Cruisers.

Heavy Defenses - Due to its primary role and the deployment of these vessels to protect company assets, each vessel was designed with heavier defensive capabilities in mind. This ensures that they are more than capable of withstanding a prolonged engagement to protect a designated target or to withstand an attack until additional support arrives to assist.

WEAKNESSES

Connector Fuselage - With a design reminiscent of the older Nebulon-B Frigate; the Javelin-class is separated into a forward primary section and an aft secondary section which is joined together via a connecting fuselage. This area is a notable weak point of the vessel, with damage to the section potentially resulting in the two sections becoming isolated from one another thus preventing the crew from traversing the length of the vessel; with the most catastrophic outcome is the potential for the vessel to be shorn into two.

Limited Squadron Support - The Javelin-class was not designed to accommodate any number of squadrons, either support or military craft. Due to this, it often must rely on additional support provided by Dedicated Carriers, assigned Escort Squadrons, or localized Orbital Stations to overcome this drawback.

Broadside - To bring its heavier armaments to bear, the vessel must array itself alongside an enemy target before firing. This can often result in the vessel being opened to counter-attack or an equally devastating broadside in response to its own.

DESCRIPTION

As Aether Systems continues to lend support and its manufacturing capabilities to the Galactic Alliance, the production of a vast manufacturing array as well as the declaration of war against the Mandalorians has resulted in the need to ensure that corporate assets are protected. Pivoting from the production of extensive orbital facilities above Keera Major, the company sought to protect what it had already built without relying too heavily upon the Galactic Alliance. It was this focus that resulted in the designing and ultimately production of the Javelin-class Frigate. These Frigates were designed to provide the company with a vessel that was more than capable of standing toe-to-toe against larger Frigates and potentially be a thorn in the side of even Light Cruisers. Each Javelin-class is heavily armed relative to its size and more so when compared to similarly sized vessels due in part to the inclusion of dual Agrocite Cannons along the starboard and port firing arcs of the vessel. However, it should be noted that to bring these heavier armaments to bear, the vessel is required to pull alongside an enemy target to unleash a broadside; a tactic which can potentially open the vessel to a counter-attack. The vessel itself was not designed with smaller craft in mind, and as such, it cannot deploy or support any form of Squadron; be that support craft or military craft. Due to this, the Javelin-class must often rely on additional support provided by Dedicated Carriers or work alongside assigned escort squadrons. The production of these vessels shows that Aether Systems remains highly dedicated to the Galactic Alliance and is staunchly pursuing the means to ensure that their production facilities remain well-guarded as they continue to produce both Civilian and Military vessels of all shapes and sizes.
