Strengths:

  • Heavy Fighter Compliment: The Jast Pocket Carrier boast an impressive 120 Fighters, allowing it to dominate space superiority operations.
Weaknesses:

  • Slower: The Jast Pocket Carrier has experienced a significant cut in speed and manoeuvring due to her extra space being used for hangars.
  • No point defence: The Jast Pocket Carrier will have to rely upon it's fighter compliment or supporting ships to stave off enemy fighters and bombers. This can compromise her if deployed alone, since the fighter compliment on this ship is lower than expected.
Description:

With a small battle fleet in mind the Jast Shipwright Co. realized they had plenty of bigger ships, and support vessels. But one thing they lacked was the ability to deploy a massive amount of fighters into the battle space for the cheapest cost. Thus the Jast Pocket Carrier was born.

Using the original frame of a Jast 1st Rate they stripped off most of the weapons and internal gadgets. Room was made for the largest, most accommodating hangars they could make. In addition, most systems had to be cut down, including point defences.

The trade off was a mall Carrier that could move in and dump fighters into the battle with ease. The Jast Pocket Carrier is still a floating box, with armor and shields though. It cannot move fast, and must be protected by other assets.

A popular strategy might be to park it in the back, behind a defensive line and let it swarm its escort into the battle like a wasp nest that just got kicked.
