Strengths:
  • Packs a Punch: The Jast Medium has options between fast light weapons, and heavier but more devastating weapons.
  • Better Defences: The Jast Medium has decent plating and an added bonus of anti missile flares, to prevent easily blasting her down with a missile lock
  • Astromech Slot: The first ever Jast Vessel to have an astromech slot. This gives her an added edge of versatility, allowing systems to be tweaked and damage to be repaired as best it can in battle.
Weaknesses:

  • Not Very Nimble: The Medium sacrifices handling for Speed and fire power. As such it can move, but you wont be doing any fancy loops or dime turns.
  • Munitions Restock: The Medium does not have laser cannons and thus cannot fire forever. Eventually when her stores are depleted she will have to return to Hangars for a refit.
Description:

The Second fighter in the Jast line, the medium scrapped the idea of speed for extra punch. Jast engineers sought to find a balance between offensive capability and defence, but nothing is perfect. Extra Kinetic weapons were added, making the use of ray shields to block them a necessity.

This gave the medium a bit of an edge in combat, as well as some Concussion missiles for extra Umph in her arsenal. More hull plating was added, and everything was kept rather stale, except for the manoeuvrings which had to be tuned down a bit to allow for extra guns.

The Jast medium has options of spraying fast slugs from her Mass driver Autocannons, or some heavy hits from her twin linked Mass drivers near the belly.

With a well balanced design it can be staple second wave in any Air superiority force. Suited more for dogfighting than anything, a popular tactic would be to back these up with a few heavy hitters, or mix them in with light fighters for a dynamic force.

As always, the Jast engineers made her user friendly and very moddable.
