Cargo Capacity: Low

SPECIAL FEATURES

Space & Terrestrial transportation capable - Does not contain a hyper-drive.
Internal Repair Droid Hangars (40) - Located in the "Chest"
Combat Drone hangar (30) - 10 drones per Leg. Drones are encased thin durasteel, low durability, atmospheric and space travel compatible, no hyper drive, 2 hours of fuel, 5km range, single laser cannon armament.

Strengths:
- Extreme durability from half meter thick durasteel plating
- High resistance due to star ship grade shielding (in comparison to normally smaller terrestrial vehicles that do not have the capacity for such powerful defelctor shielding)
- Drone Boat (30 Drones) provide minor coverage against faster skirmishers
- Combat Repairs due to repair droids (40), provide just a little bit more longevity before systems become totally in operable
- Average amounts of EMP shielding on components allow this machine to sustain through normally crippling EMP blasts, provided enough time is allocated to the repair droids to replace damaged components.

- The Dual Ion Pulse Cannons take a moderate amount of time to charge up between shots, however each blast creates an orb that grows in size. Each orb can travel a distance of 2km and reaches a diameter of 40m. A single sphere is strong enough to usually shutdown heavy artillery, base defenses, or any machine that is not of a Average or higher Ion resistance.

Weaknesses:
- No Hyper Drive
- Extremely Slow
- Virtually no maneuverability
- Take off from ground to space is a long process
- Lack of anti-aircraft weaponry
- Inept space combat

DESCRIPTION

The "Jaro Assault Walker" or "JAW" or "Jaro" is a design dreamed up by Valdus Bral when contemplating the distinct lack of defensive and support type heavy war machines. There needed to be a way to start a terrestrial invasion after Orbital Bombardment had been completed. His answer was the Jaro Assault Walker. The JAW is a sub-light speed star ship and a heavily armored terrestrial vehicle. Armed with twelve missile silos designed to work with the Advanced Concussion Missile ordinance and two large Ion Pulse Cannons, the JAW is a formidable support weapon capable of subduing and destroying base defense as well as heavily armored artillery equipment. The JAW places defense before offense, choosing to draw fire with its imposing design, and wide surface area. While opposition forces pound away at the dual layered Ray & Particle deflector shields in an attempt to puncture the thick walls of the JAW, allied forces can engage freely. Should the Jaro Assault Walker become too overwhelmed with light skirmishers, the Jaro boasts 3 hangar bays (located in the "shins" of each leg) with ten light combat drones a piece.

In space the Jaro is folded into a teardrop shape, with each of the three legs rotated upwards and collapsed in on, exposing the trio of Ion drives designed to carry the Jaro through space. Due to the amount of internally held repair droids, combat drones, spare ordinance, crew quarters, generators, and so forth; the Jaro simply does not have enough room to house a hyper-drive and thus is limited to sublight transportation. The Jaro is woefully inept at space combat and quickly will show that it is just an unimposing mass of durasteel. When the Jaro is within range of a planet's gravitational pull, the Jaro launches towards that planet using the Ion Drives. Breaking through the atmosphere it uses repulsorlifts to turn the ship around so that the ion drives are facing downwards to the ground. Repulsorlifts located near the Ion Drives then slow the Jaro to a velocity that is "safe" for the Jaro and the crew to sustain. While in descent, the Jaro's triple legs unfold and rotate downwards to the configuration in the posted picture. From there the Jaro is in full terrestrial mode and ready for combat.

When the Jaro needs to leave the planet, the repulsor lifts on the inside of each leg fire off and allow the Jaro to hover while the legs rotate upwards and fold back into the tear shape. Ion Drives then lift the extremely heavy Jaro up and out of the atmosphere back into space.
