I. BACKGROUND
J’lyus the grandson of Vharus Vorrun, a legendary Jedi Master of a time long since past.
Vharus was able to establish himself into mythic status for the many missions he led under the Jedi banner. From negotiating almost impossible terms, undertaking missions deemed unwinnable. To commanding battlefield operations that were, at the time, classified as suicide runs. His grandfather's legend has cast a long and equally imposing shadow over him, thus resulting in his intense internal pressure and ambition to either match his grandfather, or surpass the old man’s legacy.
He was born in the adopted homeworld of the Miraluka Alpheridies. Even from the time of infancy, J’lyus showed an extraordinary connection to the Force.His innate Force Sight that is known for Mialuka's race, being stronger and much more clear than most adults of his kind. Additionally he had advanced spatial awareness beyond what any others his age would show. Due to the levels of his Force abilities being where they were, at the tender age of 4 he was brought to the Jedi Temple to further hone his skill and abilities with the Force.
During his youngling years, he excelled immediately especially, in the areas of movement and combat, so much so, whispers among some of the other Jedi Masters was about how much promise he was showing. From how quickly he grasped the lessons, and even mastering many of them. However, no matter how well he was excelling in his studies, troubling traits were emerging. The Masters noticed his impatience, and his rising pride. More concerning to his teachers' was his overall view of the Force. He viewed the Force as another challenge to master instead of a living force to harmonize with or a partner to commune with.
With the Jedi Masters' growing concerns, it was decided that J’lyus would be delayed from becoming a Padawan in hopes that the additional time would help him mature into a more well rounded Jedi, temper his arrogance and guide him toward humility. He witnessed peers, many who were far less gifted than him, getting selected to be Padawans. When J’lyus was 17, after waiting years, he was finally selected by a Jedi Master and became a Padawan.
II. PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE
J’lyus has significant psychological strengths along with noteworthy weaknesses. Some of his strengths are his exceptional level of discipline, and his intense dedication when it comes to training. How fiercely loyal he can become when he bonds with a person. Additionally, thanks to his Miraluka heritage, plus his lineage, he’s extremely perceptive with his Force Sight. Still, his weaknesses are holding him back. Some of his flaws are a deep rooted pride that is linked to his heritage and ancestry. His highly competitive nature has developed into a subtle superiority complex. Furthermore, he’s developed an attitude that he needs to prove himself worthy of the Vorrun name. Also, having a jadedness of being a youngling for as long as he had been. Lastly, through his exceptional abilities, if given to a proper Jedi Master that may provide the proper mentorship he needs. He could rise to becoming a monumental figure in the Jedi Order. Without the appropriate guidance, his ambition can consume him, and he’ll become like the legendary Jedi of old that has fallen before him.
III. FORCE ABILITIES
Aside from his Force Sight which is a Miraluka’s natural ability, and having it already at a level only seen from Masters of the Force. His precognitive awareness being unusually sharp for his age and level of training. J’lyus is also trained in all techniques of the Jedi that are traditionally associated with a Padawan. He has shown to be exceptional and naturally talented with duel- wielding lightsaber combat style.
IV. PERSONALITY SUMMARY
J’lyus in summary is exceptionally talented however, is known for being highly impatient. Highly driven individual, though that drive is tied to proving his worth. Stoic in public settings, nevertheless inwardly a storm within that is brewing. Fiercely honorable, though not properly balanced with wisdom. Capable of either greatness or downfall though that depends on the guidance he receives. Finally, he currently doesn’t see his pride as a flaw, instead views it as fuel to drive him towards the greatness he feels he’s destined for.
