Like many others of her species, Izah was born on Ryloth but quickly separated from her family to continue her life as a slave, serving a Hutt Master somewhere deep within the outer rim. There, she spent several years of her life under the extremely strict and horrible conditions imposed on her by those who had taken the freedom of her and her family away. But that misery would not last forever, as an incursion from the Galactic Alliance exposed and neutralized the slaver operation she had fallen victim to.
Izah, among many others, was rescued and offered a better life within the borders of the Alliance. With a desire to change how horrible the Galaxy can be, and as a way to show her appreciation for her life being rescued, the young Twi'lek decided to dedicate her life to serving the Alliance, and throughout her years in school, she began to be recognized for her gifted mind.
The strict environment she had grown up in had helped her grow into someone whose focus could never be taken away from what she wanted to accomplish. Her dedication, patience, and ability to solve problems led to her finishing first in her class, and after years of hard work, she was offered entry into the Naval Officer program of the Alliance Navy.
She graduated years later with excellent test scores and a desire to use what she had learned out in the field. Now, years later and with enough experience behind her belt, she was finally offered command of her first ship as a Captain of the Alliance Navy.

Having grown up as a slave, Izah had always understood when to speak and when to be quiet. Any mistake she made there was punished instantly, and so her personality developed with her being seen as rather quiet and calm. But throughout her years within Alliance borders, she lost her submissive fear and began to fight and work hard for what she felt passionate about.
Both in her duties and in private, she's incredibly professional and often too strict with herself, resulting in an intense focus on academic success or achievements in the field, but with very little excitement and accomplishments in her personal life. She doesn't seem bothered by this, however, and will always work hard to respect and honor what the Alliance has done for her.

At 6ft1 and with a fairly athletic body, Izah is considered quite tall for her species, but with the beauty, many of her species are known for. Through her military training, she has always stayed in shape and as someone rather strict and professional, she's always properly dressed for the occasion, which usually means that she stands in full uniform.
With sharp facial features and eyebrows, as well as her yellow eyes, the woman often has a more intimidating aura, enhanced by her strict and calm attitude to those around her. But underneath the uniform and intimidating features, marks of her past as a slave remain visible as well. Her back still contains several scars from punishments that she tries to always conceal, and the sides of her arms have tattoos of barbed wire shaped into a symbol as a reminder of where she came from.
