It's phricken hot out here (demonsgate mining) (ask)

The Red Raven Ranator star destroyer boomed out of hyperspace and Into the orbit of Demonsgate, a world rich in phrick and now open thanks to the withdrawal of the Moross Crusade. The ship designated Nexu Tango hovered in orbit and the executive assistant of the Red Ravens was in the massive cargo hold getting everything ready for mining operations. The plan was pretty simple, establish a prefabricated base and claim a few areas on the planet for mining rights. The ravens needed phrick to help sell to the galactic market and with a steady supply of it coming and going they could really help establish themselves further in the galaxy.

"Alright everyone, we have a pretty simple job. Get on the planet, get the droids mining and set up our prefabricated base. I need everyone being extremely careful, this planet his hot and volcanic. So keep monitoring your suits at all time, and if you feel like you are going to pass out pull your emergency signal and someone will come get you. Now let's be safe out there, and let's get this phrick outpost set. This is very important for us." Patricia was briefing a few contractor heads in the cargo hold, behind her were about a dozen colossal mining droids that were going to eat up phrick like no ones business.

She hailed [member="Tmoxin Temi"] on her logger and spoke very crisply to the sergeant at arms.

"We're about to launch, make sure your men do their fives and twenty fives then set up a three hundred yard perimeter where the prefab base is going. There is a lot of hostile wild life here believe it or not so keep your eyes open." Patricia finished off her orders then dismissed everyone at the meeting.

Moving to one of the massive droids provided by Stargo the woman saddled up and soon the doors to the cargo hold began to open to hell itself down bellow. The massive spider like droids dropped down about a good twenty meters and shook the ground with a heavy thud as each gargantuan mechanical beast hit the surface of the volcanic world.

"Let's get to moving people." Patricia climbed off her mech and was on the ground with a slug thrower pistol at her side. And soon hundreds of workers were moving through the ash fields with the massive droids lumbering over head. The droids had pinged a mountain rich with phrick ore and It was less then a kilometer away. This would be the location of the fabricated base however.

Location: Volcanic fields
Objective: a Move towards mountains and see development of outpost

Patricia was in her environment suit and it was warm outside to say the least, this place wasn't called demonsgate for no reason after all. It was the closet to hell you could get in the galaxy next to muustafar, but at least there was solid ground to walk on here and the place didn't resemble a planet that had just been spawned. A few clicks came from her suit and small little gasps of carbon monoxide filtered out into air in short little gasps of pressure hisses.

Patricia looked up and one of the massive legs of the mining vehicles stammered over her In a large lumbering arc landing on the ground with a crunch of volcanic ground. Ash came down in steady waves of grey dust and flakes and they advanced through it.

The Ranator perched down slowly and soon thousands of droids and personnel came out of the ship and began to lay foundation on the planets surface. They were the crew responsible for setting up the outpost here on the planet, it would be a minor operation but it would still be a good supply for the ravens to get that much needed phrick to the galaxy and their own men.

Patricia pulled up her scanner and they were over half way there now. The mountains would be giving them plenty of phrick ore to transport back to the ship and process in factories on antecedent

"Nexu Tango this is expedition alpha we are closing to map market one designation hot box." Patricia lifted up her comm unit speaking into it to give the Ranator a heads up on their current situation. They were closing and it would be a few minutes until they arrived.

A squad of mercenaries traveled with Patricia, contractors from Nar'Shadda. Private firms were the best to hire out here in wild space and the outer rims, as long as the price was right they would be loyal to a fault. Just provide the gear and they would provide the bodies to work security. Patricia ducked down and a large mining bot leg swept over her helmeted head. Looking at her men they could see that they were nearing the location necessary

"Okay guys, when we get out to the mountain I want you to do your fives and twenty fives, scan for any wildlife and set up a perimeter. Raj I want you to take Thorn squad and Kilo up to the ridge over there and provide guardian for the first shift. Rodgers you and Cable squad have QRF and the rest will be with me until we have a proper perimeter set." Patricia gave out simple orders over a holomap and soon men began to shift into action.

Back at the landing zone contractors were setting up the necessary building gear. Everything from heat resistant power tools and vehicles to various sheets of treated durasteel to survive weather on this hellhole. They were going to have a fun time making sure this place didn't melt from prolonged exposure to the elements.

Objective: Begin mining operations

The colossal mining droids hit the mountain and various troops were moving into position. They were scanning the ash fields and they found no immediate signs of life that could interrupt operations. The droids began to scale the mountain and start to dig in. High intensity lasers activated and soon the dozen massive droids were going to work on the phrick rich mountain. Patricia let out a whistle on her comm unit and had her men move.

Squads set up a good two hundred meter perimeter around the base where mining operations were. They simply didn't have the man power to cover the massive rock formation so they had to restrict themselves to a good two hundred meter section where the majority of mining operations were happening. Patricia moved through the ash fields and in the distance a volcano erupted to spew more ash Into the air. It was a pretty standard thing here and the volcano was far enough out of the way so lava wouldn't be an issue.

"Grant! Get Squire squad and Hellboy three four on roving duties, remember to stay hydrated." Patricia sighed and looked up at the mountain. The droids had just started chewing through the first rock layer and had a bit to go before they could get to that juicy phrick ore bellow.

Lifting up her comm unit she hailed Nexu Tango and asked for a sit rep.

"How we looking Nexu Tango." Patricia asked calmly to which they replied.

"Looking good Ma'am, we are just about done setting up all our gear. We are having a little electrical interference though, we think it's some iron ore bellow but were making sure to insulate anything we can. Building operations should start up In the next five. Stargo crews are on hand and they seem ready to get to work." A male voice responded

"Roger that, Red Dress out." Patricia lowered her comm unit and looked up at operations

Patricia snapped her head over to one of the other private contractor squads and called them over to her, they were carrying a few large heavy duffel bags and were ready for orders. So Patricia would see to it they were doing the job the ravens were paying them to do.

"Alright, I want you boys to make your way back to Nexu Tango and the facility being built. What you are going to do is take those all weather light stakes and plant them in the ground every ten meters. Now this is important so listen close. Make sure that the stake's lights are turned to flicker mode, I want people to be able to find their way facility if something happens. It's about a kilometer that way so hurry up and get to moving." Patricia shooed her men and another little few clicks sputtered out of the suit and cold carbon monoxide hissed out.

Patricia looked forward and asked for a SitRep on the mining operations with the droids.

"Mech head mech head this is a Red Dress, give me a SitRep on the droids." Patricia heard a rumbling sound and soon a large chunk of rock rumbled down the mountain and crashed into the earth of demonsgate away from any assets and personnel.

"Yeah this is mech head we are piercing the first outer layer of ash and rock. We need about another hour or so until we hit phrick ore. We have a hydro malfunction on droid three and we have some engineers looking at it now over." A gruff voice responded to Patricia.

"Roger that mech head, this is red dress out." Patricia turned to her crew of mercs and they had a easy job of taking a roving patrol to see what exactly this planet had to offer in terms of wild life that could harass them.

Miss Blonde

Back at the Nexu Tango crews were bustling every which way, machines were being unloaded and raw materials were being handled with great care in the volcanic landscape. Men and women on the bridge were waiting for another ship to come into orbit so they could begin unloading more raw materials. A communications officer moved to the array and sent a message to the ship following them from antecedent.

"Hades cruiser designation Danger Ranger this is Ranator Nexu Tango awaiting your arrival over." The comm officer said in a very easy going female voice.

"This is Hades cruiser Danger Ranger acknowledged Nexu Tango, we are coming out of hyperspace now." A human voice said in response and soon a hades class cruiser boomed out of space and into orbit to star it's descent of gunships and barges to drop off raw materials and supplies for the base being constructed.

Patricia looked up to see the Hades cruiser boom out and start it's process. Patricia smiled and honestly she was really enjoying this job, besides the heat it was fun to see her ideas come to life. That she had enough power to order and create a working facility in the outer rim. It was way more pull than she ever would of had in the republic.

Looking over to her right she could see the massive droids creating literal metric tons of rubble at the base of the mountain. They were digging up a storm and to her left she could see the glowing stakes flicker in a path that was aimed back at the ship. Things were going well to say the least and if everything kept running this smooth then she'd be getting a promotion in no time.

Patricia kept roving with her squad of mercenaries and thugs, a few more clicks and hisses came from her suit and walking through the ash was almost a serene feeling. Everything was burning and hot but the ash was something beautiful to look at despite it being a byproduct of all this fire and destruction. That something beautiful can come from all the fire. But there would be time to think about poetic ash later, currently there was phrick to mine and bases to make.

"This is Red Dress how are we looking Mech head?" Patricia hailed the gruff voice who was in charge of running the droids mining the phrick.

"Red Dress this is mech head, we've successfully pushed through the outer layer of ash and rock and are currently beginning to extract the first few pieces of phrick ore. We'll be sending walkers back in twos to the ship when full." The large gruff voice said and shortly cut out to return to the loud process of cutting through massive amounts of stone.

Patricia kept roving the two hundred meter perimeter hoping to get this over with soon, she didn't have to be here but while she could trust Temi to get the job done she would rather see to it herself and get the job done right the first time.

"Danger Ranger this is Red Dress welcome to the party. Be sure to provide relief workers bellow and start alternating shifts." Patricia said to the hades cruiser above to which they quickly acknowledged and made so. The process was running smoothly so far and soon a piece of the phrick mining on this planet would belong to them.

The first few drop barges hit the ground and they began to unload something that was desperately needed in this process. A few shield generators from Titan industries, these machines would help defend the station from both any raiders looking to steal their precious phrick ore, and from the hostile weather that was this planet. The foreman contracted for the ravens stepped off his ship and started to direct things according to the executive assistants plan.

"Bring the generators along your highlighted map points, we want them in a dome pattern to disperse heat. Remember these are important, unless you all want to become crispy in your suits hurry up. Also the wiring in these things are very heat sensitive so we have a few hours to set them up before they fry!" The contractor said loudly.

Unloading the generator systems from the barges the team of engineers laid out their cords and needed machinery. They moved around the perimeter of the outpost foundation that was now in full swing and laid down. Hundreds of men and women working non stop against the heat and elements of this hostile planet. But in the end it would all be worth it. Loading up each generator hub point into the back of large speeders the various generator points were being shuttled to the appropriate areas and would soon be linked to each other so the building area would not be covered In ash twenty four seven.

Patricia stopped her patrol and looked up at the mountain, and she saw it. The first few pieces of phrick ore were being extracted from the mountain and the large bots were pulling it out of the mountain by the ton. Phrick was a rare metal and this would be enough to elevate the ravens to billionaires. Well multi billion credit billionaires. They could start selling phrick products through contracted companies and charge them for rights to phrick supplies, the possibilities were absolutely limitless when it came to the opportunity they had here.

Tmoxin was running late from a hair appointment of all things but [member="Patricia Susan Garter"] didn't need to know that. The small human could be like an icy blonde comet at times and the Hapan Officer didn't want to test her patience today. She silently landed her yacht at the secure docking bay, suited up and commlinked Patricia, not noting her lateness at all. "Butterfly is in the box," she said.

The environment was similar to Makeb but less forgiving. Within minutes, Tmoxin was already sweltering in her heat-proof suit but she trudged on surveying the contractors they had brought from Antecedent and from a recruitment drive she had overseen on Nar Shaddaa. The local population would not be tapped for this endeavor because there was none to speak of on NCW-86. And of course the problem with recruiting criminals was that they tended to behave like the ex-cons, thieves and scofflaws they were.

She made her way to the building project manager who was in charge of construction. They looked over the architectural blue prints. He pointed out where everything would be built - the foundation, walls, ever important ventilation system, walls for security, loading and unloading docks. "Everything looks good," said Tmoxin. She squinted her eyes and looked around for Patricia, impressed to see that the phrick mining itself had started. The Ravens wasted no time when it came to pilfering valuable materials.

Speeders raced to their designated areas carrying with them the precious shield generators to help keep the facility up and running. Placing them at select points a team of mercenaries and engineers stayed behind and soon five of the ten plotted points on the map were filled with their necessary generator hubs. Engineers worked hard to fine tune and sync the mechanics of the generators together. Other teams ran chords from one link to the other making sure every line was stable, grounded, and tested, they didn't want to have and problems when it came to electricity, especially when it came to a shield generator.

The foundation of the outpost was set and soon the two hundred meter facility was ready to start being built. The only problem was the ash, they would start building now and not have to worry too much since the shield generator would be online soon and start blocking off the ash that was landing above them.

"Get those generators up!" One of the crew chiefs yelled over to the men and women working hard to get them going.

Back at the dig site Patricia looked Over to her men and soon a few life forms started to pop up on the screen. They looked human and seemed to be moving towards them quickly. There was about twenty and they didn't show up on the IFF tags on their HUD. So Patricia pushed an open comm channel spoke.

"Unidentified personnel identify over." Patricia flicked over to her private channel and pinged the men on the ridge providing guardian roles on the ridge.

"Hey I have twenty humanoid targets moving from the west can you give me something guardian." Patricia said to the sniper teams above and soon they wound respond.

"No not human, they look more quadruped from up here. Check again over." The man said aiming down his scope.

Patricia lowered a different sight to see through the haze if heat and could see indeed whatever was out there was on four legs and moving close to their position. So she pinged [member="Tmoxin Temi"] back

"This is red dress, we've got some wildlife coming in, so if any get past us be prepared over."

Wildlife coming in?!!? On this planet?!? Mother of Kvath, the entire rock was a flaming lava pit. Whatever kind of creature could survive in this hostile environment must be pretty nasty. She thought back to fighting subteroths on Makeb and shuddered. If the teams were about to encounter roving packs of those giant bugs they were in trouble.

Tmoxin grabbed a pair of electrobinoculars and climbed up a steep rock in order to look down on where the creatures had been sighted. She held the binoculars up to her helmet and peered through them. The beasts were quadrapeds but not subteroths. They looked like exoboars, another tough predator who lived on these volcanic planets.

"Guardian," she radioed. "We'll need more than sniper rifles to take those out. Send a few men back here to set up a few mounted blaster cannons far enough afield to not cause any collateral damage to the building site. But close enough to kill those pigs if they come any closer."

Location: Designated LZ, Demonsgate
Objective: Operation Refinery

In the business of discovering, mining, and shipping ore, the next step was usually undertaken by those who purchased the raw product. Refining the material allowed ore to become a variety of things; from armor to starship hulls. Stargo Defense Enterprises, being the adoring fans of the Red Ravens that they are, decided to make certain that their new operation had such a facility on hand. This, of course, would ensure greater ease in processing the precious phrik...in addition to cutting out any other middle men.

As such, not too far behind the Ranator-class Star Destroyer was an archaic Hades-class Heavy Cruiser. The purpose of this particular vessel was to ferry the resources required to erect a proper refinery on Demonsgate. Engineers, droids, pre-fabricated structure components, and all other manner of "standard" accommodations practically bloated the vessel; yet it ferried them true to the designated landing zone. Approximately a kilometer away from the ongoing "festivities", this refinery would serve as the first stop for Phrik bound for a variety of customers.

At the helm of this operation was the CEO of Stargo Defense Enterprises himself. Seated upon the command "throne", he issued orders here and there before addressing the Ravens over comm. After all, they would need to be informed of every step of the operation. "This is Darth Metus." he began. "We are commencing the construction of a primary refinery approximately one kilometer from your location. I'll keep you updated on our progress regularly."

Then, switching over to a secured channel, the Sith hailed the woman who had signed on the dotted line. "Would you be so kind as to set aside...about one hundred kilos of ore for me? I'll gladly foot the bill for it, of course."

With a roar of engines speeders tore loudly through the ash and plumes of smoke. They were moving hard to set up the remainder of the shield generator hubs in about a three hundred meter circle around the facility. Titan provided a very top notch shield generator and it would keep this ash from falling down on their heads and burying them like kings of old. Putting up the rest of the hubs the representative from Titan was ready to finish up the instillations then get ready to go. Raven workers from Nar'Shadda were moving to connect all the wires to each hub so it would operate on a closed circuit.

"Alright ladies let's watch a light show." The crew chief said as the generators were hooked up to each other with thick grounded wires that were properly tested.

Preparing a few switches for the shield a man at the foundation for the outpost flicked things and a priming noise was heard through the perimeter. The generators were warned up and they had to press the button now to get it up and running.

"Red dress this is Nexu Tango we are ready to activate on your mark." A men's nerdy voice said over the comm unit.

"This is red dress, mark." Patricia said in response to the man. Cocking back her rifle she aimed at Incoming targets and it was hard to see through the ash. Pulling back slowly herself and her squad made sure that they would have enough breathing room between incoming targets and the mining site Hot Box.

And with permission from red dress the man pushed the button and a wave of rippling energy washed over the building sight in a pink fluorescent light that kept out the ash and most of the heat. People took sighs of relief and now they were free to put up the walls and vents that would keep this sucker running.

Patricia looked back at guardian squad on their assigned ridge and could see they were scrambling the heavy duty one shot one kill sniper rifles that were designed to pierce tank armor. Anti material rounds that would let out a deafening boom when fired. Patricia lifted her rifle up and aimed down her sights loading up a magazine of BANG slugs into her Czerka rifle. Taking aim she fired at the first incoming boars and got the first one between the eyes with a rapid fire of fifteen shots spending half her magazine to bring it down. The rest of the men continued to pour their own fire Into the stampede of incoming boars.

"Guardian fire!" Patricia yelled on her comm link and soon the entire line of snipers on the ridge let out deafening volleys of precision fire that struck down the boars sending them running the other way.

Patricia sighed in relief and answered her comm unit patching in to [member="Tmoxin Temi"] first

"This is Red Dress, thank you for the support. We are clear of hostile wild life and leaving a few men here, thanks for the support, roger over." Patricia gasped a bit of air then moved on to the CEO who just now decided to show up despite the ravens waiting for their new line of weapons, droids, and ships to come out. However she was willing to deal with the man.

"This is Red Dress. To [member="Darth Metus"], the ravens are still awaiting your products and we wish to have them soon. You'll get your phrick but keep in mind the original terms of our contract. Thank you and it's a pleasure doing business." Patricia flicked back her comm unit and looked over to the first two spider droids that were lumbering their way back to the Ranator to deposit the phrick ore they had captured

Lurcano lifted his arm to wipe the bead of sweat that was building on his forehead before he remembered for the third time today that he was in a heat "resistant" suit, so he couldn't touch his body at all. Lurcano considered himself to be a tough guy, someone that's taken many beatings, and wouldn't hesitate to fight again even if it meant getting his ass beat. So when he was told that their would be a mining operation on the planet Demonsgate, with a handsome payment for his troubles, he had signed up in an instant. He was now beginning to rethink that choice. 'Why the kark did no one warn me about this poodoo hole? I don't know how much more of this poodoo I can take, I'm melting alive in here. No amount of money, or Phrick armor could be worth this poodoo.' Lurcano pushed himself up off the ground as his suit was beginning to heat up from the already burning hot ground. Despite his suits claims of being heat resistant, he was sure that he had already been burned in several places due to this infernal heat. He hefted his sniper rifle, and lifted the scope up to his eyes. He was in charge of the small contingent of men that were placed up here to watch for any local wildlife that might disrupt the operation. How they would disrupt the operation when they had massive shields whose sole purpose were to stop such things, Lurcano did not know. 'Well, at least I'm not in the mining crew. Those karkers got it even worse then us. Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by one of his men claiming he saw some more wildlife in the distance. Lurcano sighed, and reluctantly lowered himself onto the ground once more and adjusted the sights on his Czerch rifle. He readied himself to shoot some more of whatever the hell could even survive for an extended period of time on this god forsaken place. 'This better be worth it.' Lurcano thought to himself. He radioed in to Patricia, whose codename was the Red Dress,

Lurcano Car'Dann: "Some more wildlife sniffing around. We'll deal with them, it shouldn't be much of a problem at all. Just keeping you updated, so don't freak out if you hear gunshots."

The shield was up and now dozens of crews were getting to work, time had progressed a few hours and now pre fabricated pieces of building designed to resist high heat levels like those on muustafar were being planted on the sights foundation. It would be a hollow shell that could hold up against the elements, however they would need to put the gear inside once it was ready.

"Put down the loading and unloading bays first! We want these to be perfect!" A large tubby Nar Shadda contractor said as he moved through the pink light above head.

Large speeders that came off the hades cruiser Danger Ranger moved carrying the very large sections of building that would fight together like a jig saw puzzle with instructions. But first came the loading and unloading bays for the phrick ore and soon the massive blocks of metal were gently placed down on the foundation where the workers would begin the process of welding and fusing an air tight seal to the foundation they had laid for the building. One by one the men and women working moved towards the building with blow torches and other tools sealing the top half to the foundation.

"Let's get those two moving! I want this ore off world ASAP!" Patricia was pointing to two of the large mining droids that had filled their load of phrick ore and were now descending the mountain and traveling the flickering path back to the Nexu Tango for drop off.

The massive spider like mechanical beasts lumbered over head and soon they were half way to the Ranator carrying the good lord Metus' order of phrick.

Patricia then received another warning about wildlife from the men on the ridge known as guardian squad that a certain upcoming member of the ravens had been put in charge of [member="Lurcano Car'dann"] was certainly earning his stripes today.

"Roger that Guardian one actual, this is red dress and we acknowledge. Shoot to kill, I repeat shoot to kill." Screw the Wildlife of this hell hole

Tmoxin needed to do something and soon because the heat was getting to her. She had been stationed on some lousy rocks lately but this one took the cake. When do I graduate to "slimy crime lady" who sits in a climate controlled penthouse barking orders to her minions instead of broiling up in her fire-proof suit, she thought? She felt like she was in a mini sweat lodge and at any point in time she would have her own personal vision quest.

Growling to herself she took her blaster rifle and joined the snipers on the rocky outcrop where they were all lined up shooting at anything that moved in the valley below. She got down into a sniping position and figured if she got to shoot some creatures it would keep her mind off of the bloody heat!

Red Dress: "Roger that Guardian one actual, this is red dress and we acknowledge. Shoot to kill, I repeat shoot to kill."

Lurcano aimed through the scope of his rifle and shot off several rounds, grunting as the recoil kicked into his shoulder. 'That's going to leave to a bruise.' He paused only momentarily to change out his ammo clip and continued to fire. The wildlife were to far to make out a specific shape or animal type, but Lurcano wasn't the least bit curious about getting close enough to take a look. He enjoyed all his limbs attached to his body, and he planned to keep it that way.

Trooper: "Most all wildlife have been dispatched sir, the rest are fleeing."

Lurcano Car'dann: Lurcano grunted in satisfaction as he surveyed the surrounding land. He was on high ground so he could see around him for miles, and there didn't appear to be anything threatening. As long as they stayed vigilant in their watch, nothing would surprise them. Of course, that was a big if. "Guardian One actual reporting in, all wildlife have been dispatched, the coast is clear."

Lurcano turned and to his surprise he saw a petite figure curled up in the rocks, firing a sniper rifle at the retreating figures of the Demonsgate wildlife. This obviously wasn't any man in his company, and upon further inspection he was able to discern her identity. It was the Hapan woman that he'd seen around the casino before. He hadn't had to much interaction with her, but he wouldn't mind to get to know her better. Despite this, he was weary of her. The sayings he had heard from of the Hapan proved to be true in this instance in that she was very beautiful. Yet that would only help her get what she wanted. 'I'll have to watch this broad, don't quite know what she's capable of yet and I definitely have a predisposition of thinking with my prong rather then my brain.'

Lurcano Car'dann: "Hey lady, I don't remember seeing you around when we first got here. You're from the organization as well yes? I think I've seen you around a couple times. What's your name and what are you doing here?"

The snipers continued to rid the valley of exoboars and other unidentifiable critters. How so much wildlife was able to thrive on Demonsgate was a mystery. She took down a few boars and the distraction helped her get her mind off of the heat. Mind over matter, she thought. And with that inner statement, she felt a bit of The Force creep up through her body. Quickly she squashed it back down - blast that voodoo magic!

Tmoxin looked around to see where the voice was coming from. She couldn't quite hear him all the way with the smothering helmet on so she rose out of her sniping position and came closer. She recognized him as Lurcano Car'dann. But she got the point of it - he was simply greeting her.

"I'm Tmoxin Temi, Sergeant at Arms of the Red Ravens. I'm in charge of Raven security and some of our military operations." She raised her chin a little and said. "You're a good shot. What else are you good at?"

Lurcano looked down at the girl, curious how something so tiny could be the Sergeant at Arms. Of course he wasn't foolish enough to broach the subject while she had a sniper rifle in her hand. He sat down on a piece of rock about waist high, ignoring the burning sensation in spite of himself and looked her in the eyes. 'Well, she's my superior, and a woman as well. Might as well seek to impress in my own unique little way. She must have some fire in her if she came here to shoot with us as I don't think anyone ordered here. Maybe her looks and her other...attributes aren't the only reason she got to where she was.' Lurcano snorted. 'Doubt it.'

Lurcano Car'dann: "What else am I good at? Not much really. Unless you count drinking and whoring as a skill. Sir. In all seriousness you would call me naught more then hired muscle. I'm a quick learner though, and I don't got as much muscle in between the ears as some of the other grunts that the organization hires out. Maybe that's why they offered me a place on this mission?" Lurcano looked between the men and the woman, and after a few moments of awkward silence his urge to speak and ask stupid questions wins over his common sense. 'I'm probably going to regret this, but kark it. We're all thinking it. "So tell me how someone like you makes their way up the position of Sergent at Arms in a criminal organization such as this where I'm you've got plenty of people just waiting for you to slip up so they can slit your throat in a dark alley somewhere and take your place? Forgive me if I'm a bit skeptical officer, but uh." Lurcano just chuckled while shaking his head, hoping that would get the point across without completely destroying all future relations with said person, and to an extent, any chances of him being promoted so he could avoid having to come down to god forsaken places such as these.
