STRENGTHS
  • Overwhelming - The philosophy behind the Death Monger is to lay down as much varied firepower to bear, so that no matter what the defense, the ordinance will rip through it. Spread across all sections of the ship are various types of railgun, laser, missile, torpedo, mine, and beam technology. As a bit of humor, IST engineers also added a rear firing projectile battery designed specifically to fire kitchen sinks...
  • Early Bird Gets Warm - Despite the type of vessel that Interstellar Starship Technologies produces, it will almost always come with its proprietary hyperdrive. Days and even weeks can be lost when time is of the essence in hyperspace, thus the philosophy of IST is to always provide the best hyperdrive it can provide for all its products. The Death Monger is no different. The Death Monger-class battlecruiser can bring a lot of firepower to bear across the galaxy in short order.

WEAKNESSES
  • Maxed Out to the Core - Despite the impressive array of weaponry bristling across the Death Monger battlecruiser, it cannot put all these systems in use at once. IST engineers added a complex firing control governor that prevents the ship from firing all the weapons at once...or it results in a core meltdown. Thus, the many weapon systems undergo a slight delay between each shot. While not immediately obvious, it does significantly reduce the number of weapon systems fired over a period of time.
  • Threading the Needle - IST engineers knew there was going to be an inherent weakness in the design, but it was a commissioned warship, so they did not argue. So much weaponry is packed into this battlecruiser, the hangars on the ship were an after thought...and it shows. The deployment and recovery of starfighters and support craft is arduously slow due to the pilots having to make their way through the long barrels and multiple turrets stacked right by the hangar bay entrance. As such, if the Death Monger deploys its starfighters or support craft, it must wait 10 seconds between each starfighter or support craft it deploys. In a combat scenario, this is arduously slow.

The "Death Monger" is not a practical ship, however, in the right circumstances, it is a true bruiser in capital ship-to-ship combat. With its deadly array of weaponry, there is no one defense that is able to withstand the different ways that the ship can hit you. Interstellar Starship Technologies built the ship as a commission, but then decided that it with some testing and configuration adjustments, it was quite the serviceable battlecruiser. Its eight powerful ion engines are able to propel the massive warship to speeds that are quite fast for a ship its size. Despite the advanced array of defenses, the attention is always drawn to the weaponry.

If you could hyperlink this to the Darkwire faction page or otherwise clarify somewhere here that the ship's affiliation is to Darkwire please. Technically, ships this size cannot belong to individuals like Qanatain Xopsaloff.

If you could please change this to the template used by our battlecruisers:

  • Hangar Space: (Please provide the amount of fighters/support craft this submission can hold in it's hangar by count of Squadrons, which hold 12 average Starfighters. The higher your squadron count, the lower your Armament and number of advanced systems should be. )

I'm not sure what you want to do about hyperspace balancing here. The "threading the needle" weakness could be expanded more to fit this with some harder, explicit numbers, but if there are other options/ideas you want to explore, I'm open to hearing them. There's also always the possibility of using an average x1 or slower hyperdrive as well.
 
Gir Quee Gir Quee Thanks again for the review, here are the changes I made:
1) Changed affiliation to be with Darkwire (DireX) faction and provided link
2) Reduced hyperdrive speed from .5 to .8
3) Expanded on the weakness that requires a lot of time between starfighter deployment
4) Fixed Hangar/Squadron format
