Physical Appearance:

Like all Oracles, Ishtar-Array lives inside an exo-suit adorned with ritual geometric patterns sacred to her people. Her helmet is a featureless visor stretching from forehead to a vocoder just below the mouth. What the alien looks like under the suit is a mystery even among her own people. Her exo-suit is a blend of form and function, lines of divine code cutting gold geometric lines through swaths of indigo that seem blue one moment and violet the next. The design extends to a cloak she often uses to conceal her slender figure, invoking the sacred mystery that belongs to her caste alone.

Personality and Beliefs:

Ishtar-Array believes in the Pattern Eternal, the underlying code of reality, and belongs to the technopriest caste of the Sovereignty. She is devout and loyal but not blindly. She believes in data above all else and adjusts her viewpoint to the facts. This has the potential to alienate her from her people should facts challenge the underpinning doctrine of the techno-theocracy.

Strengths:

• Exceptional cognitive processing -- Oracles are capable of parsing complex symbolic logic, predictive algorithms, and encrypted language with ease.
• Biotechnological affinity -- they possess a cultural and biological interface with advanced machinery, able to commune with Sovereignty systems through neural-link rituals.
• Data-driven -- Ishtar believes data supports the Pattern Eternal and adjusts her beliefs to what the facts dictate.

Weaknesses:

• Physically fragile and slow to adapt outside structured environments -- their suits protect them from foreign atmospheres and infections.
• Socially and psychologically insular -- their unwavering devotion to the Pattern Eternal can limit emotional insight and create conflict with more individualistic species.
• Cautious -- Due to her own physiology and reliance on other castes to perform labor, Ishtar considers all potential risks before engaging--in conflict, in conversation, in interactions.

History:
An Augur of the Oracle caste, Ishtar-Array has ambitions of joining the Synod of Divination one day, should the Pattern Eternal permit it. For now, she follows cause and effect: fulfilling her destiny and allotted duties will in turn allow others to fulfill their destinies and duties. The Pattern Eternal rewards consistency and devotion. She will see to it that the forward operating base for the Sovereignty's expansion is well established and ready to receive the following wave of seed ships.
