Is there anything more dangerous than a fire-fox? (Malachite Avachei)

Cystalsong. A nice place, but not somewhere that you would want to be stranded on.

The guy I was talking to said he knew of someone that had been stranded here for quite a wile. Come to think of it, the guy was completely drunk, so this story was most likely just a old guys babblings, but Mit went and asked around, finally he got a straight answer. there was a guy in a little apartment about a block away and he had been here for a loooong time.

he walked up to the guys door and hit the bell.
"Anyone here?"

I looked up from my drink and holo, and stepped towards the door wearily. I just didn't get visitors. I'd used my not-insignificant amount of credits to get this apartment, and I had pretty much pushed away every neighbor I had. I opened the door to find a guy about three-quarters of my height, wearing a rather nice suit, looking at me questioningly.

"Uhm, yeah. You don't live in this building. Who are you?"

"Are you, er.." I thought back to the drunken guy, "Malachite?"

I took a look at the guy, he certainly didn't seem like he was exactly trapped. Judging by his apartment, he was quite wealthy, why didn't he just buy his way out?

"The names Mit. I heard some... Gossip shall we say, about you."

"Whatever you heard is probably either true, or bordering on the truth. Come on in, and have a drink."

I sat back down, rearranging my fur so that my battered concert shirt and flannel pants would stay on my alright.

"Now, tell me everything you heard about me."

I gave a little nod in response to his welcome. He seemed to toy with his clothes for a moment, but I made no comment.

"I heard that you're, for lack of a better word, stranded here?" I said and stood next to his table, not quite believing the story myself.

I sighed, and laid down on my couch. A nice little number. Even if I were to leave Crystalsong, I'd still keep this apartment just to store the stuff I had here.

"I'm stranded here by choice, really. I could have bought a ship, but I didn't feel like forking over that much cash. It's a matter of time before the Ri'essi Union finds out that I'm here, since my parents were sort of household names around here, and when they do, I'm gonna make them get me a ship in return for my services. But they're taking too long, and I wanna see the rest of the galaxy."

I toyed with the idea of offering him a ride, but I shoved it out of my mind for the moment.

"I have a feeling 'making' them doesn't involve a civil discussion."

I laughed at the guy, and drank some more of my booze.

"It basically involves buying and assembling a ship, and then handing them the bill a long time later."

"That sounds exactly like something I would do." I said with a slight smile.

As the idea surfaced again, I decided to speak up. "I could..." I said with a wave of my hand, gesturing towards the change I had in my pocket.

I saw the gesture toward his money, and I shook my head.

"I would never dream of it, when I have this much money. I even have designs for the ship I'm gonna have built. Big frigate sort of thing."

I sighed, and then barked out a short laugh.

"Do you have a ship, in fact? Or is this whole conversation hypothetical?"

"It depend on your idea of 'A ship'. Would you like to sit in my cramped patrol frigate?" I said with a grin.

"Anything I should know before I offer my ship to you?" I joked.

"On occasion, I drink caf and milk, and even juice once in a while."

I laughed at the expression on the guy's face.

"Why? Do I remind you of someone?"

[member="Mit Tuxaire"]

"I don't do much. My parents were like the wandering police of this area. Killing murderers and drug traffickers. I don't do much else than wander around, hoping to find something fun to do."

I shrugged, and gestured to the various knick knacks I had lying about the room.

"I buy stuff on a whim, and nobody cares."

"So, your parents were civilian enforcers?"

I looked around at the knick knacks.

"I know how it feels to buy something just for the sake of buying it."

[member="Malachite Avachei"]

"I guess you could call them civilian enforcers... It got them exiled, whatever they were."

I drank deeply from the bottle, and looked back up.

"It got them killed, too."

I nodded at the somber change in the discussion.

Leaning against my newly-purchased cane I gazed out the window.

"Know them well?"

[member="Malachite Avachei"]

"No. I knew them for five years of my life, none of those consecutive."

I chugged down more liquor.

"Then my adopted father killed them. I didn't even know they were my parents."
