STANDARD FEATURES
The Revenant TIE/ew Electronic Warfare Fighter is fitted with modern software and hardware up to technological standards of the time, with comparable analogs to other standard systems used in starfighters like it. Its systems are easily updated to match improvements made in the future.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Stealth Suite:
  • Much like many modernized ships, the TIE/ew is able to use a stealth suite to minimize its sensor signature and allow it to float unnoticed through space. When not participating in combat with shields, weapons, and EWAR Module powered down, the fighter can limit its signature allowing it to remain undetected, especially from enemy starfighter grade sensors and long ranges.
Electronic Warfare Suite:
  • The TIE/ew uses Jamming Beams, wide angle DERP's, and Missile Deactivation transmitters to disrupt enemy ships' ability to track, target, and strike friendly vessels and starfighters using three modes.
Strengths:
  • Electronic Warfare Module: The TIE Banshee is capable of using its EWAR module to several disrupting effects, but is only able to use one at a time.
Hide: Uses a wide angle DERP to hide a squadron of friendly fighters from detection, but is double blind.
  • Scream: Focuses jamming beams on enemy point defense weapons and starfighters to make them less accurate and harder to find target locks on craft.
  • Scramble: Focuses on disabling enemy ordnance using powerful Missile Deactivation Transmitters.

[*]Stealth Mode: The fighter can limit is sensor signature and fly unnoticed from enemy sensors when not participating in direct combat.
Weaknesses:
  • Lightly Armed: The TIE Banshee is relatively lightly armed, featuring only a pair of laser cannons as offensive weaponry.
  • Quiet: Using its stealth systems requires its shields and weapons to be powered down, and at dogfighting ranges as it is still visible to the eye. Some dedicated sensor ships will likely detect them regardless as they approach.
DESCRIPTION
The Imperial Revenant-Series Twin Ion Engine production line was designed and manufactured by Revenant State Industrial, intended to highly resemble the Galactic Empire of old. The symbolism of the TIE was refurbished and updated, but as the Revenant is meant to be the haven of the Imperial Lifestyle, its aesthetic choices needed to represent the New Order as well. With classical cockpit design also came necessary improvements to visibility, using one way view panels to the sides and rear as well as view screens to provide a pilot with a more comprehensive, less obscured view of space.

Unlike its ancient predecessors it features a built-in hyperdrive and deflector shield, updated drive units, weapons, and software to put it on par with modern bombers such as the Y-Wing. Minor stealth systems like drive bafflers, sensor-reducing hull coatings, degaussing, and other systems have been included in the design to allow squadrons of TIE’s to approach a system or ship undetected until they reach engagement ranges if they fly quiet. Usually, this requires the fighter to keep its weapons and shields powered down, of course they are still visible and so at a certain point it doesn’t prevent detection or notice.

The TIE Electronic Warfare Fighter, designated the TIE/ew and commonly referred to as Banshees, fill a specialized role within the Imperial Revenant Armada. Their focus is on support of larger craft, designed to replace or supplement specialized capital ships in a small formation. The Banshee utilizes an electronic warfare module as its primary weapon. This module uses three modes, Hide, Scream, and Scramble.

Hide mode utilizes a wide angle Dedicated Energy Receptor Projector to detect incoming sensor pings across a significant area (normally enough to hide a squadron) and fade into the sensor so as not to disrupt it or register upon it, allowing it to hide a group of fighters or attack craft approaching an enemy vessel. By the time it enters point defense range basic sensors should be able to counteract this form of stealth frequency, however it is more effective than other forms of non-cloaking stealth at longer ranges, even able to fool many specialized sensor craft.

Scream mode is the most simple, intended to turn its electronic attack on enemy capital ships point defense weapons and enemy starfighters by firing jamming beams. Its intention is to make these weapons less accurate, make it more difficult for small warheads to gain weapons locks on targets, and protect friendly starfighters. This is a targeted attack, and so friendly fire is limited, but each one is able to affect between two and four fighters and several enemy point defense weapons. Ships fitted with advanced targeting systems may be less affected by this mode.

Finally Scramble mode is meant to sow disarray into enemy capital ships by disabling or disrupting guidance locks from enemy ordnance using a powerful missile deactivation transmitter, taking out enemy missiles in short bursts.

The Banshee also has a pair of laser cannons mounted on the chin of the cockpit module for direct combat weaponry, but is considered lightly armed in the way of lethal or disabling weaponry.
