Description: The entire facility is surrounded by a surgical field, or antisepsis field, making it so that patients are not unduly contaminated when treated at the hospital. As a side effect, however, it makes it so that the patients require probiotic showers as well as taking special tablets to allow their skin and intestinal flora to regenerate at normal paces, respectively. Since it is expected to provide healthcare for numerous organic forces, the north yard can support a Saint-class medical ship to accommodate shipments of large numbers of patients. It is an imposing structure with four wings, the east wing being there for the administrative offices. It offers a wide range of services over 10 above-ground floors and 3 underground floors, ranging from psychiatry, to trauma medicine, and is equipped with cutting-edge medical equipment to assist GADF personnel in healing.
At the south of the hospital is a park where local residents can have access to fresh air since the surgical field extends a little beyond the hospital proper. The roofs of each wing can support, between them, four shuttles at a time to bring in the wounded and sick. Altogether, the IMH features 775 beds for inpatients, including any bacta tanks, making the sprawling medical center one of the major ground-bound military hospitals in Alliance space, capable of providing even highly specialized healthcare.
History: During the Atrisia Campaign, Therapy Command was ordered to build a triage facility on Inysh to accommodate the wounded and the refugees emanating from the action on Atrisia proper. [Acting] Vice Admiral Cathul Thuku and its crew established a triage point, working tirelessly to cure what patients could be saved from the great battle occurring on Atrisia, and received several hundred patients in critical condition in the first few days of operation. When it became clear that the Galactic Alliance Defense Force was going to require a permanent military hospital to serve the military personnel stationed in the western regions of the Core, it contracted IGR Brokerage to build a permanent hospital due to the mounting need for GADF personnel to get access to healthcare in the light of the Atrisia Campaign.
