Talon sat in his chambers near the top of the temple. The cool stone beneath him as he meditated on His roll among the Jedi. He had not done a great deal thus far in his time on the Council save for a few sensitive missions. The mark beneath his eye did not bother him today but that meant little other than he had still not accomplished it's removal, if such was even possible. His thoughts drifted as on waves of the great sea near the home on Zelos II where he had grown up. On those waves he felt something in the dense vong formed jungles. Something was calling to him, only not just him, but to the academy entire.

He stood, his shirtless body and walked to the window he so enjoyed and stared out across the verdant thick of trees. He was headmaster here and it didn't seem to be a threat but it was urgent nonetheless. He would have to assemble the Jedi who served here and those that were visiting to train and learn.

He walked to his tunic and slipped it on and tied the wraps around himself before hitting the intercom beside his door.

"All available Jedi. ALL available Jedi, please gather in the Central auditorium immediately." He said before sending a message to the other instructors.

'I wish [member="Kira Liadain"] was here.' he thought as he walked to the stairs down. 'She would have a fit to see me giving orders.'

[member="Talon Vosra"]

The call had been made for all available Jedi. Curious, the healer would soon appear before High Councilman Vosra, her seemingly docile gaze wandering over his form.

Others would soon appear, but her ice blue eyes would study the man.

"Master Vosra, is there something amiss?"

Well, that was never nice to hear.

Anarya had been meditating, trying to clear her mind of thoughts. Right now, she didn't want to think. It wouldn't be helpful. But whenever she closed her eyes, she say Katarr. The desolate world would never leave. But when [member="Talon Vosra"] spoke on the intercom, she snapped up.
Off to it then... She thought as she wrapped her cloak around her. Her training saber held on her belt, she made her way to the door of her chamber. Slowly, carefully, the half blood opened it. Nothing. No hustle to the auditorium. She was either early or late. She would prefer the former.
Finally entering behind [member="A'dele Adonai"], the girl looked to the headmaster. "Padawan Drast, here and ready."

Talon has just stepped to the bottom of the stairs from his chamber. The humid jungle air could be felt through the nearby windowand from a slight breeze the smells of various jungle plants could be caught. His green eyes fell on the healer and archivist that was Knight Adonai.

"I felt something deep in the Jungle." He said not hiding anything from his fellow jedi, "You and Padawan Drast come with me to the Auditorium where group lectures are given and we can all discuss it there."

Talon stepped into the hallway and with the two jedi walked to the large room where Masters and Knights lectured older younglings and padawans. The stadium seating before a large holoprojector and desk where instructors would sit was already starting to gain occupants. When more haf arrived he would put together a team to explore the disturbances.

The Protector of Tython was about to be on his way to begin training both of his Padawans at the same time, but it seemed that wouldn't happen for before he could even enter the training hall section of the Temple, he heard the familiar voice of [member="Talon Vosra"]. He was interested as to why they were all needed, but he figured his two apprentices, [member="Lupe Baracka"] and [member="Marth Hy'juun"] would listen to the orders and come right away.

If they didn't, well they would both be punished.

He stood in his black phrik armour. It never hurt to be safe, and so he waited for the trio to arrive.

A'dele would give a nod of acknowledgement, her ice blue eyes sweeping over to the approaching padawans and knights.

"Of course," she would say, following [member="Talon Vosra"] towards the auditorium. Concern would wash over her face.

Just what was going on?

Ki'an Karr had just finished eating his morning meal and was sitting in his room cross-legged. Before him was his lightsaber, he was just putting the finishing touches on some maintenance when the message from Master [member="Talon Vosra"] came over the comm system. Ki'an rose to his feet and attached his lightsaber to his hip. Walking over to his bed, Ki'an picked up his anti-oxygen mask and goggles and put them into place. He was wearing a dark green tunic and pants and as he walked to the door he picked up his charcoal grey robe and pulled it around him. Pulling the hood up over his head, Ki'an walked out and headed toward the auditorium.

As Ki'an walked toward the auditorium he finally had the time to consider the message from his master. What was so urgent that he was calling together all the Jedi on Ossus? The message didn't seem frantic, or necessarily pertaining to bad news, but it wasn't promising that he wanted a large number of them to gather on such short notice. Arriving at the auditorium, Ki'an saw that several others had already arrived and he bowed his head to his master and the others and took a seat. Crossing his arms in front of him, Ki'an waited eagerly to hear more.

Talon walked to the fore of the semi circle auditorium and put his hands behind his back. He looked at the few Jedi that had gathered to hear his announcement and he was a little saddened that it was so few.

'Have our numbers dwindled so much?' he thought.

His head began to spin and he grew dizzy for a moment as the face of the One Sith's seer came to his mind and the words she had spoken on Coruscant.

' The gift comes with a price.' He thought again before steadying himself both Internally and externally.

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice." He said now moving his hands to clasp them in front of him, "I have just felt a disturbance in the force. I will be notifying Grand Master [member="Kiskla Grayson"] about this but the disturbance is here, on this world, and if you concentrate now you'll feel it. From what I can tell it is coming from the Jungles near the other side of the planet, but I don't know exactly where. I would like to form a team and go in search of whatever it is and then we can decide what to do." he paused and looked a t each Jedi present, "I can not promise that it is benevolent nor can I say for certain that it is not, but I can say that something seems to be calling to this academy directly through the force albeit weakly. I would like volunteers please."

Ki'an listened carefully to Master [member="Talon Vosra"]'s words. A disturbance in the force? Closing his eyes he reached out with the force, focusing first on those in the room and then slowly stretching himself outward, into the corridors, then the courtyards and out into the jungle. It hit him like a wall. A sudden change, a shift in the flow of the force through the jungle. He couldn't pinpoint it, but he could feel it. How had he missed this during his meditations? Perhaps he had become to relaxed in his meditations, focusing too much on the immediate location and not the force as a whole. He would have to consider this when next he trained.

When Ki'an opened his eyes he heard his master ask for volunteers. Volunteers? They were going into the jungle in search of this disturbance. The thought both worried and excited Ki'an, but he quickly put those thoughts aside. He was going with some of the best Jedi in the order, he needn't worry and excitement or eagerness for a fight was not the way of the Jedi.

"I volunteer to go." Ki'an said rising. As he spoke Ki'an cross his right arm across his chest and bow slightly. He then looked around at the other Jedi in the room, @A'dele Adonai, [member="Zaren Bouqi"], [member="Anarya Drast"], and [member="Michael Sardun"]. He felt it likely that they all would volunteer and Ki'an was eager to get to know his fellow Jedi better. Anarya he had met, but the others were new to him. Ki'an took his seat and waited rather anxiously. It was unlike him to get overly excited about things, as a Kel Dor and a former Baran Do sage he was often very stoical in the face of such tasks, but he couldn't help but be eager over the opportunity to explore Ossus. He was also anxious over what they would find.

This was a serious matter, would muse the Iridonian Jedi Healer in the depths of her mind. Outward, she gave no indication at her thoughts or concern, her expression placid and calm. Her hands would rest over her waist, lightly clasped together.

She wasn't the first to speak, but she would give her support. "You will need a healer to ensure your well being." she'd say, volunteering to go as well.

He could hardly say no to a call for 'all available Jedi', particularly not when it came from [member="Talon Vosra"]. They had been through too much together, in such a short frame of time. Plus, he too had felt the disturbance, while in the midst of spending some time with his quetarra - an activity he had not been able to find much time or will to indulge in, recently. He was trying to fit some words to a tune he had started humming out of the blue a couple days before, and trying to compose it on the stringed instrument to a point that it would make a good song to play for others.

It was that one niggling stretch of chords that kept him back to the point that by the time he arrived in the auditorium, the Zelosian master was just finishing explaining why he had requested others to gather, and asking for volunteers. Fortunately, the seer had caught the majority of the words Talon had said, while moving hastily down the hall, and slipping into the auditorium.

"Apologies for m'tardiness, Master Vosra," he said, his blue eyes settling on this other connected to Kira, "ah'd like t'volunteer, as well."

A disturbance? How did I miss this? The girl wondered. She was a Luka Sene. Well, had been. Still, she had spent most of her life training to see. She should have been able to notice this. I'm slipping. I can't focus. Her eyes closed for a second as she focused on the other side of the planet. Something was out there, something.... was calling them. Calling her. Now that she was looking for it, it seemed obvious. How blind she had been. She opened her eyes as [member="Ki'an Karr"] spoke, looked to the others. "I will come."

It doesn't seem as if I have much of a choice.

Korr strode through the halls of the Ossus temple before arriving at the rear of the group. So, Talon had felt it too... The newly minted Knight crossed his arms, ruffling the wide-sleeves of his white robes. Grey eyes stared at each of the faces around in him with a stolid gaze of iron. Jaw muscles writhed as he clenched his teeth, highlighting a thin scar along his jaw. On closer look one might see that he bore many scars, far too high a count than anyone of his youth had a right to be, even at the age of 21.

The Knight let out a soft sigh. With Marcello, his former master, in a self-imposed exile things seemed bleaker. Still, it could be worse. Oh yes, it could always be worse.

At last, he spoke, voice cutting through the air like a sword, stern and hard... like the iron in his eyes. "I volunteer."

The Headmaster needed people to be volunteers, something that he could do as a Jedi Knight, and simply being a curious fellow he saw no reason as to why he shouldn't, especially if the Jedi Master that was [member="Talon Vosra"] was asking. It could be extremely important, although he was unsure as to how dangerous since it was upon Ossus.

There was nothing else for him to think about other than simply nodding his head and saying, "I shall come."

Talon nodded his thoughts turning to the presence, the feeling in the jungles. He wasn't sure what it was but it was calling them. He looked around and noted he was the only master present. That meant he was responsible for the lives of these volunteers. He considered the situation carefully and began planning what they would need to be wary of. The creatures were vastly different than in ancient times and it was believed even the flora was deadly in some cases.

"As you likely know the Jungle was the result of Vong forming hundreds of years ago." He looked around making sure to make eye contact with those present, "I want everyone to be on their toes and brush up on your Ossus flora and fauna before we leave if you can. We'll need supplies just in case and some basic survival gear for worst case scenarios."

He looked at the Padawans and knights considering the individual abilities of each one so he could try and gauge who was good for what.

"I will arrange task once we are all packed with the basics and I don't mean bring a 30 kilo pack, we are jedi after all, but medkits, jungle gear, utiliy belts you get the idea." Talon said as he checked the chrono on his own utility belt, "Everyone meet at the bottom of the academy steps in two hours or less. Any questions?"

Talon waited just incase someone needed clarification.

He thought to himself while he thought of the flora and fauna of the planet. He remembered a lesson a long time ago by a Jedi Knight that went by the name of Criax Thaos. He had known plenty of plants, he had gone from being a Jedi Guardian, to an apparent 'Protector of the Wild.' He specifically remembered a particular mission when the Jedi had been performing reconnaissance upon a Sith Temple, and when they had been discovered, in the midst of the battle the Jedi had cried to minimize damage to the plants.

He was a curious fellow. But he was a good Jedi.

If there was one mission that he remembered, it was the one when Criax Thaos had become his hero. It had been when he had first joined the Jedi Temple and Criax Thaos had become his first Master, at some point during a Sith raid upon the Jedi Temple on Dantooine, Zaren had been captured and taken to a newly built Sith Temple. It wasn't old enough to have a force nexus, just a large amount of Sith were present. The young Bouqi had sensed his Master as he came to save him, and as he escaped he saw the corpses that littered the hallway. One Jedi Knight had done such a thing to a Sith Temple. He had taken on a Sith Temple to save his first Padawan.

It had been one of the greatest moments in his life.

I'm certain Master Thaos knows the names of all the flora and fauna upon Ossus.

At that point, he bowed to the Jedi and proceeded to leave as he prepared himself for the mission at hand. Armour won't be needed, it's Ossus. He nodded as if to confirm with himself and he continued on towards his own chambers.

Brush up on th'flora an' fauna? he thought, a faint smile coming to his lips. He had been studying what he could in his spare time, given that what was available on Ossus was far, far different than what was available for entertainment on Coruscant. He had asked around for ideas, and the study of the local plant and wildlife was one such thing suggested to him, as was astronomy - the latter being of a particular interest, as many cultures seemed to have a way of belief in foretelling what was to come on not only a personal, but a societal level as well. As a seer, he could hardly ignore that, especially since studies of the Force were not the only things that Jedi took to learning. So he knew some things already. If he had enough time, he would thumb through the materials he had available for his studies on what others had already learned about the local ecosystem, to add something new to his knowledge that he had not already acquired. He had never thought he'd be studying nature and the sky, only several months prior.

"No, no questions, Master Vosra..." it was strange saying that, considering they had called each other by their given names only so very recently... but it was the Jedi way, at least in the presence of others, "...ah'll see ye in two hours."

Filling his time with various things was what he could do to keep himself from dwelling too much on certain other things. Giving Talon a short nod, he turned and made his way back to his quarters, thinking on what would be necessary, and at least what would be a good idea, to bring along for this venture into the jungles of Ossus.

Ki'an listened intently as [member="Talon Vosra"] instructed them to learn all they could in the next 2 hours concerning the local wildlife. Ki'an had done some research on the jungles of Ossus, just for safeties sake, but he certainly wasn't an expert. As he rose from his seat he considered what things he would need to bring and what information to research before the expedition began.

"Understood." Ki'an said and he turned and walked out of the room. He focused on centering himself as he left and made his way towards his quarters. He needed to be as clear headed as possible for this exploration. Whatever was in the jungles of Ossus was bothering Master Vosra, and that concerned Ki'an greatly.

Anarya didn't have much. Unlike the other Jedi here, she didn't own enough to pack a varied equipment set. Just a pair of medkits, a canteen, and her training saber. Changing from her robes to a tunic and jerkins, she pulled out her datapad. Scanning through the listed creatures, plants, and other entries, she couldn't find enough info as she wanted. She checked the time. Hour and a half. Dashing down to the library, she searched as much as she could.

Time seemed to fly as she researched the jungles. The history, what was there, everything she could find. Only, when she checked the time, she had five minutes left to reach the academy steps. Dashing out, she made her way to the gathering point.

Two hours later would see A'dele standing in wait for those assigned to her group. As the bulk of her time was always spent in the archives and in meditation, the young Iridonian would use the remainder to prepare for the trip.

She would pack medkits and other small medical equipment required in the event of injury. Her manner was precise, purposeful. Her expression serene as she double checked the gear.

Iceblue eyes would flick up only when another would come near.
