Into the Depths

Jedi Sentinels were the ones who served as the Vanguard. The ferrets of the dark side. The ones who would lead the Guardians and Consulars to the target. But it meant that they had to have the right set of skills to get where they were going. The one who could blend in with the common people, and block the dark side from taking hold. Their position was an odd one, in a galaxy so covered in Sith, and other Dark Jedi sects. Sentinels chased down the dark side, they hunted it within the ranks of the various Jedi Orders and the galaxy abroad.

Rising from the Sentinels were the Shadows, those deep cover operatives who brought light to the darkest of places through means that were not always… in line with any council’s wishes. But he was a Marshal of the New Jedi Order, and one that was trusted by none other than Taeli Raaf. That meant Coren had a bit more pull to do what was needed to be done.

That was why he was here, on Byss. The world had been brought mostly under the control of the Galactic Alliance, but even with the New Jedi Order nearby on Coruscant, sweeper teams needed to be deployed. And that meant Coren had to take some of his more advanced students from Sullust out to Byss. And that meant he was also reaching to his counter parts in the Silver Jedi. He needed the assist, and had to problem calling it like he saw it. The pair had linked up during several other operations and now, they were standing outside one of the other temples that needed investigation. Students were there, but he knew it was going to take the pair of Masters to break the traps and release the dark side’s hold on this location.

“So, yeah, temple full of dark side relics. You still ready for this?”
