DEATH WATCH
“Where war calls, we answer.”

War is the foundation of the Mandalorian identity. Where other nations see conflict as a burden, Mandalorians sees it as a birthright. Thus, the Death Watch are the fangs of Mandalore bared against the stars, striking at any world bold enough to challenge Mandalore’s will...or willing to pay for their firepower.

Officially, the Death Watch is recognized by the Empire as a state-sponsored paramilitary force, sanctioned to take contracts across the Galaxy. In practice, they are warriors who revel in conflict, embracing every raid, skirmish, and campaign as an opportunity to hone their craft, claim their spoils, and bring glory to Mandalore’s name.

Whether the battles are Mandalore’s own or the wars of others, the Death Watch is there...waiting, watching, and ready to descend.

ORGANIZATION
Our victory glorifies Mandalore.

The Death Watch is armed, trained, and funded by the Mandalorian Empire but does not fall under its direct chain of command. To the wider Galaxy, they are a state-sponsored paramilitary force, mercenaries in form but Mandalorian in spirit, striking where they will while carrying Mandalore’s strength with them.

At the helm stands the Warmaster, first among equals, who leads Death Watch operations with the Mand’alor’s blessing. The Watch itself is a gathering of warriors united by their hunger for the crucible of war, with battlefield leadership determined by merit and experience. Before each engagement, the War Marshal establishes the chain of command, sets rules of engagement, and collects payment or tribute from their clients.

Death Watch warriors hail from all across the Empire. Some make the Death Watch their full-time calling, serving as active-duty fighters who live for the next war. Others join Death Watch raids and campaigns outside of their existing obligations, fighting as reserves while continuing to serve in other roles within the Empire.

CULTURE
To fight is to honor Mandalore.

The Death Watch has always worshipped war. Historically, this devotion brought them into conflict with kin who sought to temper Mandalorian strength with measured, honorable mercenary work. For the Watch, however, war itself is the highest honor, the purest form of expression a Mandalorian can embrace.

Today, peace exists between the Death Watch and their Mandalorian kin. They are no longer outcasts but champions of Mandalore’s indomitable will, carrying their fury across the stars with purpose. They are fiercely loyal to Mandalore, returning a portion of their spoils to fulfill the Resol’nare without hesitation, for they know every victory strengthens the homeland they love.

To walk among the Death Watch is to live for strength and glory, to seek the battlefield not for coin alone but for the promise of legend, and to never shrink from the crucible that war demands.
