Inferno Squadron is the personal recreation of Commander Isla Sable, forged in the aftermath of the Fall of Coruscant. Witnessing the Galactic Alliance's catastrophic failure defending it and the Core, Sable resolved to build a force free from such weakness. The unit's foundation was laid when Sable, opportunistically scavenging the ruins, discovered the broken body of Sergeant Jaxa Korvin, a GA Marine left to die. Sable rescued her, and through meticulous manipulation, transformed Korvin's despair and rage into fanatical loyalty, rebranding her as "Vex."
Sable then resurrected the infamous "Inferno Squadron" moniker, weaponizing its legacy of fear. She populated the unit with other broken, disillusioned, or ruthlessly ambitious individuals: a dispassionate assassin, an amoral medic, a loyal Shistavanen warrior, and a cunning Twi'lek shock trooper. Each was chosen for their unique skills and molded to fit Sable's vision.
Based aboard the Ecliptic Blade, Inferno Squadron serves as the ground-based extension of Sable's will. They are more than soldiers; they are apostles of her philosophy, proving through action that sentiment and compromise are fatal flaws.
