B I O G R A P H Y

Ines Pen-Ar-Lan originates from Wistril and grew up on the streets in a city-cluster located by a bay on the dry savannas. From an early age, she learned to get by - both on her own and by leaning on others for support. Living in poverty, crime came easy to the young Wistrilian.

Although she had been in a scrape or two and successfully evaded the law a few times, it was pickpocketing, confidence schemes and smuggling which she excelled at. Even though light fingers and ample of charm allowed her to get by, risks were high and and the rewards were, by comparison, insufficient. Fortunately, her talents were enough to catch the attention of the ISB. First as a target, and later, as a potential asset. Ines proved to be open to switching sides and played a central part in dismantling a smuggling operation from the inside.

After undergoing a series of physical and mental tests and a number of psychological evaluations, the young Ines was entered into a special programme for potential intelligence operators. What followed was intensive training, both to deepen the skills she already had as well as to give her a more well-rounded profile.

During her brief time after graduation, Agent Pen-Ar-Lan has worked on forging cover identities, forming bonds with local contacts on planets of interest and maintaining combat readiness.

A P P E A R A N C E

In general, Ines maintains a clean appearance with well kempt hair and a good skincare routine. She has kind greyish eyes, a sweet smile and naturally blonde hair. Her voice has a good range and her control is on point. Although she has been prone to slouch, Ines has trained most of the bad posture away during her years in the programme.

Naturally, she maintains a high degree of flexibility on the job and is adept with lenses to change eye colour, hair dyers, clothes to add weight or change silhouettes and good familiarity with the make-up kit. Some factors cannot be changed on a whim, however - she has a sharp jawline and stands slightly under average in terms of height.

Agent Pen-Ar-Lan is not primarily a combatant and most certainly not one who easily finds themselves on the frontlines. She maintains an adequate workout routine and has a healthily light and athletic form. However, she clearly lacks the strength and durability of an infantryman.

Phoebe Rosswell
Being one of Agent Pen-Ar-Lan's primary cover identities, Phoebe's physical appearance very much matches that of Ines' in terms of hair and eye colour, posture and general disposition. Their past and present, however, is very different.

Phoebe grew up by the poorer regions of Kuat and went through school with passing grades and a particular interest for photography. After her parents left for greener pastures in the galactic south, she remained. Records show three unsucessful applications for the Kuat College of Journalism.

Seemingly, life had another path in mind for the young Kuati girl: After some time waiting tables at ill-financed and later bankrupted establishments, she took on a job at a logistics company, Starlines Interconnected - where she worked with sales and as a liaison between different segments of their cargo fleet with extended periods of time spent on the move to meet with the various captains and customers in person.

Phoebe is kind and outgoing. Her considerable patience reflects her time working in customer service well. She often carries a small holdout blaster that has been preset to stun mode. A superficial mind probe would likely reveal an observant mind looking for people whom she can brighten the day for or memorizing imaginary food orders for fictitious tables by guests of various detail.

"Mia"
When in need of an identity in the underworld, Agent Pen-Ar-Lan often turns to Mia - a brunette with green eyes and a slight underbite. Most of the time, she can be found wearing a vest or bomber jacket with tight pants and high boots. Many of Mia's skills are the same as those the Agent learned as a child.

On official records, she has appeared as a suspected thief and smuggler with the first suspected theft being from when she was still a small child growing up on the streets of Corellia.

In criminal circles, Mia Hayes is far from famed. While known in some circles, the thief appears to have kept a relatively low profile. Still, word of mouth is that she is good at what she does and relatively trustworthy with the caveat that her first priority consistently seems to be her own survival and freedom.

A superficial mind probe would likely reveal an observant mind looking for weapons, uniforms and exposed valuables ripe for the taking or repeating various 'magic' card tricks in her mind.

• Flexibel morals: Like most people, Ines has no inherent desire to kick puppies, steal candy from kids or kill innocents. But she is ready to do what is necessary and/or convenient.
• Chameleon: She has always been good at assuming fake personas and being whoever she needs to be in the situatiuon. She can easily blend in in numerous contexts and change appearances at a whim.
• Skilled: Due to extensive training, Ines Pen-Ar-Lan has a broad range of skills and is notably an adept hacker and demolitionist.
• Adaptable: She's quick on her feet and a quick thinker.

• Not primarily a combatant: Agent Pen-Ar-Lan has been trained in combat and is comfortable with a blaster - but she is not a trooper, nor is she a force user and has likely not nearly spent as much time as others on honing her deadliness.
• Attachments: Whether it is a lack of experience or a base personality trait, Ines has a hard time letting go of attachments which can be disadvantageous, particularly in regards to infiltration stints.
• Self-worth: Has issues related to self-worth and guilt which makes her prone to take slightly more - calculated - risks than the average agent.
• A house of cards: Ines Pen-Ar-Lan's specialty is related to her capacity to assume new identities and/or stay anonymous. This makes her highly vulnerable to fame or being identified as an ISB agent

E Q U I P M E N T . & . P O S S E S S I O N S

This is a work in progress - very sporadic progress.

During combat, Ines can be expected to wear a face covering helmet or mask with an integrated comms unit and two knives hidden on her person. If given time to prepare, she can be expected to wear magboots and a light combat armour to protect against shrapnel, blunt force and low-powered blasters. In those scenarios, it is also likely that she carries a blaster pistol with a fibercord functionality along with a grenade launcher (might need to sub something for this) and a companion probe droid equipped with a low-powered blaster (might need to sub something for this too).

Outside of combat, she is likely to have at least one knife on her person as well as a miniature lockpick set strapped around her leg and a set of contact lenses to give her a different eye colour in the case of an emergency. She also tends to carry an air gapped datapad should something big need to be hacked or downloaded without the risk of being traced back to her.

- Cultural Exchange, Vonnuvi, Completed - Agent Pen-Ar-Lan goes under the cover identity of Phoebe Rosswell representing Starlines Interconnected. There, she mingles with Efret Farr , Colette and Sossi Hallisk

- Trial and Error, Completed - Going under the cover of Nellavi Baudrow, Agent Pen-Ar-Lan meets Matthias Colcrip on Tatooine and accompanies him to take out a Mos Eisley crime lord, Voggro. Matthias nicknames her 'Blue'.

Verse Melnau joins the Hidden Path
- The Cost of Innocence, Completed - Ines infiltrates the Hidden Path, posing as Verse Melnau. She first meets Thurion Heavenshield and aids him in sending a violent message to corporates too keen on exploiting refugees.

- Haven in the Snow, Completed - Verse fixes sensors and meets with Kaleleon as they work to set up a listening post on Eshan.

- Tracktion and Extraction, Completed - Verse infiltrates a train to steal weapons for the Hidden Path from a Hutt Cartel. So has Kayla Ordo-Shan - but the two Rebels are unaware of the fact that their goals are aligned. Kayla turns into Hawkbat after which they eventually figure out that they should work together to achieve their goals.

- Where the Roots Lie, Completed - Verse meets Acier Moonbound as they go on a mission to rescue a scientist from Gorbaar the Hutt. While they fail to extract the scientist, they learn information pertaining to the Empire and encounter the notorious bounty hunter Bor Tii Yar.

- Fade to Black - GE Invasion of Arkania, Champala and Ord Lithone, Completed - Ines, posing as Line Beren, steals schematics for Project Stardust when she is intercepted and captured by Caelan Valoren

- Ashes of Allegiance, Ongoing - Line Beren is given a tour of Caelan's home planet before being released.

- Soak Up the Sun, Ongoing - Ines is sent to Niamos for some lighter work after the ordeals on Ord Lithone. There, Verse meets Calyx Sundrift whom she tries to recruit to the Hidden Path.

- Among Rebels and Stars, Completed - Verse brings Calyx to a rebel ball. Ines has to handle her nerves: For this is her first ever ball.
