Inden Industries

Corporation Name: Inden Industries

Headquarters: Rishi

Locations: Roon

Operations: Primarily cybernetics, with some overlap into standard droid and medical tech.
Rationale: Jeremy Inden founded the company and grew it into a thriving business on Coruscant under the Republic. His son Gregor Inden, however, was the one that made it boom. Due to shrewd business, intelligence, and more than his share of dumb luck Gregor grew the small company into a behemoth, dominating the market on Coruscant. Unfortunately, when Gregor was crippled in a case of industrial sabotage gone wrong, the company started to slide, and when the One Sith attacked Coruscant it was all but destroyed, along with the majority of the Inden fortune. The problem was compounded when Gregor never returned after the Rapture.

Several of the higher-ups in the company had been involved in the Ahra project, and though none of them trusted each other enough to take control, the survivors agreed that Ahra, with his personality programmed to imitate Gregor’s, would make an ideal substitute to lead the company into a new age. The droid himself was hesitant, as he was now affiliated with the Spynet, but suggested that they could take a copy of his programming and upload it to a new chassis, under the condition that the company become a part of the Techno Union. This motion passed, Salvador Inden was born, and Inden Industries struggled back to its feet.

Tier: 2

Description: Inden Industries was a former leader in the field of cybernetics before its fall, with its three major branches being military, medical, and improvement. The military and medical branches share some attributes, as both are designed as replacements for lost limbs; the military types tend to be either bare-minimum “spare tires” or combat-ready augmentations, while the medical models tend to be more of the standard, day-to-day replacements for lost limbs and appendages. The improvement branch deals more with voluntary cybernetics, and as such tends to be much more expensive. This goes into the realm of telescopic or infrared eyes, arms with increased strength and dexterity, and even low-power blasters concealed in fingers or wrists. Augmentations can also allow for wireless network access, and even low-level telepathy (as long as targets have compatible upgrades as well).

Inden Industries will be joining the Techno Union, pending this thread.

Subsidiaries: None, though some or all branches above may become subsidiaries once it hits Tier 3.
