DESCRIPTION
The Incinerator-class Particle Blaster is a hand-held, single soldier, Particle Beam Blaster with a semi-automatic and fully automatic fire modes. Like a standard Particle beam blaster it utilizes a sparsely packed, heavily energized series of particles ejected in a pale yellow bolt much like a normal blaster operates. The unstable particles however, react differently from standard blasters in that they explode when they contact an energy field or solid object. This makes the weapon useful as it is an effective anti-infantry weapon, with some anti-light vehicle capabilities. Its take down power is roughly on par with a T-21 Light Repeating Blaster. At about eight hundred yards, the bolt deteriorates.

The main difference between a standard Particle Blaster and the Incinerator-class is inspired by the ancient Incinerator-class Railgun. When the containment field explodes, it releases the particles being held within the bolt, but rather than very rapidly dissipating into the atmosphere, the particles of the incinerator-class erupt in a small localized fire, clinging to its victims like napalm or other incendiary liquids, and burning for about thirty seconds in good conditions (Stop, Drop, and Roll will drastically reduce this time, as will other conditions unfavorable for fire). This fire itself doesn't penetrate armor very well and isn't thermite levels of heat, but it does cling to energy fields causing small continuous damage to them. The flames are dangerous enough that it can leave a victim with nasty third degree burns in short aftermath for those that survive the initial bolt of energy, even kill in some circumstances. The splash is very small, and unless the bolt impacts within a half or quarter meter of a target, or the target is hit by it, it is unlikely they will be affected. However, those using lightsabers should beware, as physics would propel the flaming mass forward some.

The weapon itself is as robust as the DC-15 or the E-11, usable in most environments, but is also durable and tough, with a Mandalorian Steel casing and frame. It has a healthy recoil, comparable to any Medium Machine Gun. Its weight does cause some problems, as its about twice as heavy as its blaster weapon counterpart causing it to be troublesome to carry after a while, weighing soldiers down. It has a power setting allowing a soldier to turn it from lethal, to non-lethal, however rather than stunning, it delivers a punch (like from a fist) like impact and still releases the conflagration of particles on its victims. It features a top and bottom rail for attachments like sights, lights, and under-barrel weaponry.

Strengths:
  • Fire and Flames: the Particle beam is roughly as dangerous as a T-21 Light Repeating Blaster, however the particles it releases causes a burning fire effect in a small area or on the victim, causing further pain and suffering, and terrorizing its victims as they spontaneously combust around their comrades.
Weaknesses:
  • Bulky: The weapon is heavy for a standard blaster, twice what its blaster counterpart weighs, and more than its Tenloss cousin despite using a lightweight material like Mandalorian Iron.
Special Features:
  • Particle Beam Bolts
  • Incinerator Particles
