Orbit of Lannik, Silver Jedi Space.

In orbit over Lannik, Veiere Arenais stood at the head of the bridge overlooking the bow of the Judiciary with his datapad in hand, the Senior Officers preparing the Starship for the anticipated jump to hyperspace, all but requiring the man's word. In the absence of field work, Veiere had taken it upon himself during his recovery following the battle for Azure, to track down and determine the status of his former students and mentor-body of the Order of Deneba...

It had been a long time now since the conflict that took place, devastating the former Jedi Enclave and scattering his members to various corners of the Galaxy. It had left a black mark upon his name and far worse, the guilt, the regret, pain and the loss had followed him in every step trying to move forward. While most seemed to have forgotten or otherwise made their peace with Veiere's renewed place in the Galaxy alongside the Order of the Silver Jedi, there was still his conscience to contend with; lately it had dawned on him that [member="Romi Jade"] may not have been the only one to follow him down that dangerous path.

With the help of [member="Coren Starchaser"], Veiere had returned to the Order many years later. The Jedi Praxeum and soon the established Jedi Alliance that utilized the Academy Network and connected every pocket of the fractured order to one another, had all been a way of trying to find forgiveness in himself with the encouragement of Coren's. There were times where it felt as though he hadn't been doing much, others where the weight of world's like Azure were back breaking and yet through all of it, the nightmares never ceased.

"Connection established, Captain" came Jacinder Rorik's voice from the Comm's-Station.

Nodding, Veiere turned and moved to position himself before the holo-emitters that would project his image to the receiving end. "Master Apollodor" Veiere greeted the Jedi knight formally, having met [member="Nylea Apollodor"] through his various exploits in connection to both the Praxeum and the Order of the Sacred Lotus; "I was wondering if you would do me the honor of meeting me at a location of your choosing. I was hoping that I might be able to acquire your help with something of a personal matter...".

Plateaus of Makeb, sometime at day

Life had been a quiet affair for Nylea for the last number of months. After much urging from [member='Nora Lithos'] to take some time off to travel and finally caving, most of her time had been spent exploring the lesser-travelled roads the galaxy had to offer. It allowed her to finally process all that had happened on Eshan during the Mandolorian occupation and grieve over the loss of her family. None had survived the conflict and it had dealt a devastating blow to her mentally, something that did not go unnoticed by Nora. Her friend prepared a ship and almost physically shoved her into it in order to get Nylea to take some proper time for herself, but in the end the echani had to admit this was exactly what she had needed.

Her family were with the Force now, and that was okay. She missed them dearly, or course, but when she meditated with them in her thoughts, she could feel their presences softly brush past her. In a way, they were still with her. When she thought of her mother, she felt love. When thinking of her father, pride. Even in death those feelings persisted.

Today marked Nylea's second day on Makeb. The day before had been spent resupplying and spending time in Talaos City, as well as preparing to head out into the plateaus of the planet. The echani sat peacefully at a cliff, her backpack sitting next to her as she looked over the world that laid before her. These were the moments where she could breathe easy and deal with the things that plagued her mind.

The moment to herself was interrupted, however, when the holodevice in her backpack began to buzz. Nora, she assumed. The arkadian made sure to call her daily, a sentiment Nylea appreciated greatly. When she watched the person who had established contact with her appear in the holodevice, however, it turned out to be someone else entirely. Someone she had not seen in quite some time.

"Master Arenais, it is an honor," Nylea responded as her holo-image showed her getting to her feet. "And please, feel free to call me Nylea. I am no good with formal titles." The request came unexpectedly, but that did not mean she wasn't willing to be of help.

"Of course, I would be happy to lend a hand. I am currently travelling around Makeb and currently am near Talaos City. I can be back there by today."

A mere glance over his shoulder to Ensign Bernard and the coordinates were being dialed in before the Holocall had ended; "Thank you, Nylea, I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you at all. I'm trying to track down my former associates from quite some time ago..." Veiere explained himself some more,

"I'm sending you a data package ahead of my arrival concerning the Order of Deneba" he added though at the same time sounded a little apprehensive and as though he didn't have high expectations in what she might be able to gather if Nylea chose to do a little research at all. "I look forward to see you in person. Veiere out" he concluded, deactivating the holo-emitters and turning to take his station as the hyperdrive whined up in preparation, power being channeled throughout the ship to prioritize their jump to light speed.

The World of Makeb,
Arriving in Orbit.
It had been just over a day in Makeb time before the Judiciary Stardestroyer would arrive within Makeb Space and move to orbit the world, Veiere Arenais boarding his personal shuttle and soon departing to rendezvous with [member="Nylea Apollodor"]. In the time since their call, he'd had the chance to reflect on past years in service to the Jedi of Deneba, as well as his betrayal of them. Years of hard work and good moral practice as the Grandmaster of the Order, all to be undone in a matter of months falling his fall to the Darkside.

A whim, an impulse and the belief that he could remove his perceived failings from the universe with the devastation of the Enclave on Mount Meru...-Such delusions the Darkside inspired. Many Jedi had battled the lure of it's call, and many succumbed, few able to return as he had...-Though there were some and he wasn't alone in this. Coren Starchaser for example, one of the most famous of Jedi Master's in the Galaxy had also suffered such a fate once upon a time...

Still, it brought little peace. If there were any remaining survivors that had yet to surface following the incident that ruined him, perhaps he could figure out some way of helping them and make up for the pains they'd suffered through.

As his transport descended upon the landing zone of Makeb's spaceport, Veiere moved to step out into the open air.

((Apologies, I'm not well. Sorry for the wait))

Deneba was a name Nylea had heard in passing on a few occasions. She knew little to nothing beyond a rough timeline of events that had led to the order's demise, though she had considered Veiere's apprehension towards the topic to be slightly odd. It was that same apprehension that Veiere displayed that caused her to stow away the datapad on which the information had been transferred to in her backpack at first. She didn't know what to expect, and as such decided to give herself some time to prepare.

After the holocall had concluded and her things were returned to her backpack, Nylea back back on her feet. She looked around her one more time, let out a deep breath in contentment, and took off towards Talaos City. She hadn't planned to return there for another few days, but life didn't often go to plan and to Nylea, that was okay. She would be more than glad to lend a hand to those who asked her. When life nudged her towards helping another, that was an opportunity to do good.

During Nylea's trek back to Talaos City, however, the datapackage that she had been sent seemingly started weighing heavier on her mind with each step. It was clear there was something within the files that would be in some way concerning and the unknown was often a scary thing. In the end, she convinced herself that it was the downfall of the Order of Deneba that must have been what caused the apprehension within Veiere. For the remainder of her travel the echani managed to keep it out of her thoughts.

Dusk was setting in when Nylea entered the limits of Talaos City and with Veiere's arrival being the next day, she retreated into her ship to rest her feet and call it a day. The lights flickered on as the boarding ramp rose back up behind her, the artificial light replacing the natural. Her stomach had been rumbling for a little while by now and so the kitchenette was her next stop after leaving her backpack on the table in the main area of the ship.

After preparing a quick meal of fern potatos and kibla greens, Nylea returned to the table. She put her plate down and placed the backpack on the floor before sitting down, opening it to retrieve her holodevice. She hadn't heard from Nora yet that day. It was placed down on the table next to her plate and with the press of a button the menu sprang up, displaying the last calls that were made. The first name she saw, was Veiere's.

The datapackage...

With a sigh, she reached down into the backpack again, this time retrieving the datapad.

Nylea waited at the landing zone as she watched Veiere's transport touch down on Makeb's surface. He was greeted by the echani with a smile followed by a respectful bow as he exited the craft. "It is good to see you, master Arenais," she said humbly. "My thanks for entrusting me with assisting you."

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

Leaving the shuttle behind him, Veiere strode down the landing ramp and found himself soon greeted by the presence and company of [member="Nylea Apollodor"], she of whom smiled and bowed to him in every bit the formality the Jedi were often known for. "It's been a long time hasn't it, Master Apollodor" Veiere smiled in return, lowering his head in both acknowledgement and respect for the younger woman; "I do apologize for any disturbance this may have caused, as well as the suddenness of this business I've involved you in" he moved to stand alongside her whilst the loading ramp to the shuttle reseeded once more and the transport soon began to sound its engines, the pilots instructed to return to the Judiciary until further notice.

The Jedi Master expected that this meeting would involve a certain degree of interrogation so-to-speak, though without the violence usually associated with such tactics, needless to say Veiere expected Nylea would have a fair amount of questions and more significantly, concerns for the information that Veiere had provided her. Reports over the Deneba incident were grim, yet the Jedi Order itself hadn't all the answers and Veiere had instead filled in the blanks from memory and his personal involvement, information that incriminated him in the demise of numerous Jedi Personnel as well as the squadron of Stormtroopers who had been commanded by the man, back then under the influence of the Darkside of the Force...

"I appreciate your discretion with this matter" Veiere looked back to Nylea once the transport had lifted away and there was quiet enough for the two to continue discussing his purpose in meeting there; "The Order of the Silver Jedi are aware of the incident that you've been briefed with, though this investigation is one of my personal desire and given the obvious...Sensitivity to the matter, I'm looking to involve as few others as possible".

"Perhaps there's somewhere private we can speak?".

Veiere's words of greeting elicited a small humbled chuckle from Nylea. "Simply Nylea will do," she said as her right hand moved towards her neck to scratch it. The echani certainly didn't think herself worthy of such a title as 'master'. There was a long road left to travel before then, and not just in her growth as a Jedi. The embarrassment was quickly shook off as she refocussed on the present matter. "I am glad to be of help. You have done nothing to apologize for in reaching out to me." Veiere's apology wasn't one Nylea believed to be necessary. Her life was dedicated to being there for others, after all. Being as dependable as she could had become second nature to her, personal matters were often put to the side when her help was needed.

The Jedi Master continued and his words reminded Nylea of the things she had learned from the datapackage. It had caught the echani off-guard and going through it all had proven to be a difficult task for her, as memories of not only Hazel's tragic turn to the Dark side resurfaced, but also of the times she herself was entangled in its suffocating embrace. Yet despite this, she was not scared away. The fact Veiere was willing to face what had happened was a noble thing. Walking away from that felt wrong.

"Thank you for your trust in me, and I fully sympathise." Though Nylea wouldn't hide her past, she hadn't gone into detail about the things she had done with anyone. In her case it was her shame that kept her from doing so, as well as a wish to not burden anyone else with things so emotionally taxing. "I have informed the Sacred Lotus of the fact I will be away for a little while longer, so there is no need to worry about taking up my time." With matters as sensitive as this, it was all the more important to handle it carefully.

"My own ship is docked in a nearby hangar, though we could also take a short trek around the plateaus around Talaos City. They are surprisingly peaceful."
